Billboard design is all about capturing attention and delivering a message in a split second. 🚘 Bright colors, bold typography, and eye-catching images come together to create a visual story that pops against the city skyline.

Loving this sleek monogram created for someone that wanted something simple and non traditional, that can be used on note cards or things like signs for their home. Monograms aren't always just for people getting married! 💍

✨Calling all my crafty friends!✨
If you love to craft and use things like vinyl cutters, laser cutters or sublimation printers, but you don't have the ability to create the designs yourself, check out SoFontsy.com! They have an insane amount of designs and fonts created from makers all over the country. How cool is that?!
I started working with SoFontsy a few years ago and since then I have created over 175 bundle graphics! What does that mean, you ask? 🤔 If you take a look at the post images, the top banner graphic and the individual graphics below are a handful that I have designed. Typically I am working around rules and brands and I don't always get to "think outside of the box" so working with these allow me to open up my mind to be a bit more creative and colorful!

As a designer, when working with companies, I jump for joy when I am handed a brand guide from the start! 😁 It is such an essential tool for anyone involved in creating content for the brand to ensure that every piece of communication reinforces the brand's identity and values.
For all non designers, a brand guide is like a rulebook to how a business presents itself to the world. It helps build consistency, which unfortunately many small businesses lack. It also builds brand recognition, trust and an emotional connection with the target audience.
This guide I created for Restore You Med Spa already had a logo but wanted a new look and brand. The original colors were black and aqua-green, so we freshened the green to a softer sage and added some corresponding colors as accents. The new color combination, fonts and overall aesthetics bring elegance, sophistication and a classic, spa-like feeling. 🌸

Check out this adorable cover design for "The Ollie & Gus Pizza Bus" written by Kathy Sattem Rygg! 📖 This particular book was inspired by Izzy's Pizza Bus, a local food truck cooking up THE BEST pizza! Kathy was so impressed with their story and creativity that it sparked an idea for a children’s short story series. These fun, whimsical, pepperoni-filled stories are for kids ages 8-12.
I shared another children's book cover I did for Kathy a while back that was equally as cute. 🥰 Kathy is a children's book author and the Executive Editor for Edge and Dine Magazines in Omaha, NE.

Sometimes I get really excited about a new project, and this was one of those times! Caitlin Winkley Coaching, LLC, was hired by L’Oréal’s edgy, fun makeup brand, Urban Decay, to facilitate a workshop for their creative team. She reached out to me to design a workbook that would mix both Caitlin’s brand and Urban Decay’s brand, utilizing both brand’s assets. The inside of the book turned out amazing and is the true star of the show, however due to confidentiality and needing to protect proprietary information, I’m just giving you a little teaser of the design! 😉

📣 Calling all sticker lovers! 📣

Over the last couple years, I've been working with the International Studies 🌎 team at University of Nebraska at Omaha and have created so many fun designs (promise I will share more soon!), but this sticker collection is surely one of my favorites! 🖤❤️

The team wanted to have stickers to include in their welcome packets for International students coming to UNO. Because many of these students are still learning the English language, we kept it simple with easy to read handwritten fonts. And because figuring out where in the United States Omaha is, the team wanted to be sure to include a USA map, as well as the state of Nebraska to help when recruiting abroad.

Even though I lack keeping up with my own social media, I do love creating graphics for my amazing clients! I have to admit, I wasn't a huge fan of carousel 🎠 graphics at first, but they have definitely grown on me and I love how they tell a story. In these examples we used a carousel to feature testimonials, as well as an intro to the leadership team of a new coaching program.

Hello! It's been a minute since I introduced myself, so here we go! 🙋‍♀️

I'm Kelly Laine, owner of , which specializes in brand identity for small businesses. I create designs such as logos, websites, print and sales material, book covers, social media, stationery, and everything in between. I love creating designs that show what make businesses (or people!) unique, helps you stand out, and show off your brand!

A few fun facts about me:

🌽 Midwesterner.
I wasn't born in Nebraska, but I have been living in the since I was about 7, so I consider it home. 🏠 Even though I had dreams of being a starving artist in NYC, I am a true Midwesterner at heart!

✍️ Business Owner.
It is still surreal for me to say that. But here I am on my 4th year of being 100% on my own, living my dream of being a full-time freelancer. I was a graphic designer in the corporate world for about 17 years and was ready to make a change...needless to say, I am so so glad I took the leap!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Wife and Momma.
Family comes first. Which is the #1 reason why I decided to pursue my own business. I just wish I would've done it sooner when my kids were still babies. To anyone debating on making the change, do it before your kids are grown. My supportive husband of over 17 years and I have a 13 and 9 year old that keep up busy! (also have a couple fur babies! 🐕🐕)

✈️ Traveler.
I may not have been to many of the destinations on my travel bucket list, but I am slowly crossing them off one by one. I have an equal love for the ocean and the mountains. There is something so serene about listening to waves 🌊 crash on the shoreline or the wind blowing through the aspen leaves 🍃 of the rocky mountains🏔. However, next up on my bucket list is overseas to Greece! Anyone have any tips on a Greece vaca, send 'em my way!

So, that's a little peek into who I am and what I do! 🌟 I'm thrilled to share my creative journey with you all, and I can't wait to see what my future holds. ✨

An oldie, but a goodie! 🤩 I never got to share this award winning impact report that I worked on with Leia Baez and her team at Douglas County Nebraska. It won the National Association of Government Communicators Blue Pencil & Gold Screen Award, to be exact! 🏆

Loving this fun and playful logo I recently designed for Ivy's Counting Blocks! 🤩 This logo was designed for a mathematical toy that was built to help children learn to form the sum of the numbers by using blocks. From the logo's vibrant colors to it's fun characters, I hope this toy brings joy to little math learners everywhere!

I love working with previous clients! 💕 This returning client started a new venture of an express laundry service and called me up to create their new brand! It is based in Kansas, hence 'prairie' 🌾 in the name and the wheat in the design. They wanted to combine elements of Kansas and laundry...and I think we accomplished just that! Now if only they drove to Nebraska to pick up my laundry! 😉

And it just so happened to come in right when I was planning a trip to Disneyland 🏰 so it was pretty cool to work with Summer Jelinek, whom is a former Walt Disney World Leader and Disney Institute Facilitator. 🤩

Summer wanted a whimsical and fun design that also tied into her leadership speaking brand. I've been a bit quiet on here lately! 🫣 But fear not! I haven't forgotten about you or my work—I've been in HUSTLE mode the last year (shoot, who am I kidding, more like the last 3 years). Life has been crazy (but oh so good! ❤), and I've been swamped with work and personal commitments. ⏰💼 Between juggling deadlines and trying to find some downtime for myself and my family, I haven't had much time to update you all on what's been happening and share some of the amazing designs I've been creating.

Goodbye 2023….Hello 2024! 🎉
What a year it has been! It was my most successful year as a business owner, yet also the most challenging. What it taught me though was the value of being able to decide how I want to live my live and how I want to run my business. I learned that I don’t need to take on everything and anything to be successful, and that it is 100% ok to take time for myself.
