The Healing Place serves 250 men and 250 women in Campbellsville, KY on a daily basis. The Healing Place alumni are the most successful as 75% of them are sober one year after programs completion.

She is the author of two award winning books, "Loving an Addict, Loving Yourself: The Top 10 Survival Tips for Loving Someone with an Addiction" and "Loving an Addict, Loving Yourself: The Workbook".
Ms. Plattor knows from personal experience what it means to be an addict. Within a year of being diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 1973, she found herself in the throes of prescription drug addiction, as well as using pot on a daily basis. After nearly 15 years of abusing substances, Candace reached “bottom” in 1987 and began her journey of recovery and self-discovery. On July 18th, she celebrated 27 years clean and sober.
