Mike has done a fantastic job the last 25 years operating Gator Air and has entrusted us with the utmost care of their existing clients. Our promise to Gator Air clients is to serve you with the same respect and trustworthy qualities Mike & Brian have extended to you. We hope that you will enjoy being a part of the B&L AC Service family and please let us know how we can best serve you moving forward.
A message from the owner of B&L, Fabian Garcia
"I have known Mike for over 20 years. In fact when I was first starting out in the HVAC business I worked for Mike and Gator Air.
Mike and I started speaking in the last few months. He has decided after many years and long days to officially retire. Mike's goal was to make sure to transfer ownership of Gator Air to someone he knew would take care of his clients. This is a big responsibility and I am fully prepared to take it on!
One of the most important parts of the transition was to make sure Gator Air clients would see a familiar face. Many of you have seen Brian work on and install your hvac systems. I am happy to also announce Brian Wheeler is staying on and will continue to be your go to installer and technician.
You will also see some new faces from our company. We strive to provide top notch customer service and always a friendly experience.
If you have any questions, concerns, or in general would like to see what we are about, I can be reached at the following numbers
(407) 951-0321 Office
(321) 422-9012 Fabian Cell
[email protected]
This page will merge with our main business page in the next week.
The Gator Air office number, (407) 886-5383 will remain active. We will be merging it at some point down the line."

This is how a hack unlicensed contractor installed this compressor, ,line twisted leaking freon,,don't let this happen to you hire license contractor like Gator Air
While licensing isn’t necessarily a measure of competence, it does imply a certain level of professionalism and suggests that the contractor is committed to his or her job. More significantly, licensing can protect you from a number of potential problems, such as the following:
Unlicensed usually means uninsured. If you use a contractor who is uninsured, it means the contractor has no way of reimbursing you for any property damage he or she causes. This means you end up paying the price. Likewise, if contractor carelessness leads to injury or damage to someone else’s property, the problem is likely to become yours! That $500 you thought you were saving can cost thousands or millions in personal injury or death litigation.
No coverage under homeowner’s policy. Some homeowners believe it is safe to use an uninsured contractor, assuming that any damages incurred would be covered under their own insurance policies. However, this isn’t the case. Most homeowner policies require that the work be done by licensed contractors; coverage is often specifically excluded for damages caused by “moonlighters” or “bootleg” contractors.
Noncompliance with building codes. Air conditioning changeouts require permits and inspections. Unlicensed contractors are often unfamiliar with the applicable building codes and cannot obtain permits. If your new AC system isn’t permitted or doesn’t comply with building and zoning codes, you may – and probably will – be ordered to remove or repair the job; paying more than you would have had you used a reputable licensed contractor to begin with. Even if a building inspector doesn’t “catch” your code violation right away, you may have to correct it when you try to sell your house.
Poor quality work. Not all unlicensed contractors do poor quality work. And not all poor quality work is done by unlicensed contractors. However, as a rule, if there’s shoddy work to be done, your chances are much greater that it will be done by an unlicensed contractor. It just makes sense; unlicensed contractors aren’t subject to meeting specific Code required minimum standards because they don’t have an inspector that they have to answer to. They tend to be untrained and unqualified with todays more complicated high efficiency HVAC systems. Sloppy work can have serious ramifications. “Basically, it’s a safety hazard if your work isn’t done properly,” says Brett Martin, Communications Manager for the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. “If it’s not wired properly, obviously you could face major consequences at some point.”
Con Artists. Scams in the construction industry have become almost legendary in the last few decades. Con artists posing as qualified contractors, and often targeting the elderly, have made national news many times. Even so, unwary homeowners continue to be taken in by these psuedo contractors, who often promise unrealistically low prices or use scare tactics to close the deal. In these cases, the homeowner typically ends up with either an incomplete or at best, a low quality job.
Limited recourse for broken contracts. If you have a dispute with a licensed contractor, you can call the Florida Department of Professional Business Regulation. They have the authority to suspend or fine a dishonest contractor. While this doesn’t necessarily ensure a contractor will play fair, it does provide a substantial incentive to do so. They cannot take action against an unlicensed contractor. Therefore your only recourse is a civil lawsuit. And because an unlicensed contractor can go in and out of business so readily, such a lawsuit is frequently a waste of time. Typically a contract with an unlicensed contractor is not legally enforceable.
As if that’s not enough, current Florida Department of Business Professional Regulation statutes allow fines up to $5,000 for knowingly hiring an unlicensed contractor. And that can really be hazardous to your fiscal health!
