Sean Weiss Motorsports
We are a family owned race team just out having fun, driver started in quarter midgets and has steadily moved up the ranks to the big cars.
Our 2013 season has come to an end with Sean leaving for his freshman year at Widener,
news of the 2014 season will be coming soon.
We had a decent car at Georgetown last night for the Camp Barnes race. I'm not fully sure who prepped the track but that was the absolute best track we've run on there. Started the feature 15th and finished 11th without a scratch!! We finally had a chance to put our slick track suspension on the car and Sean said he could go anywhere on the track and it was good. We have to thank DIG Shocks for the help and Dale Plank for the setup advice after our last time at Georgetown, unfortunately Dale passed away shortly after that. We only had a few opportunities to call him for help and he answered the phone anytime with help.
We didn't have enough speed to contend for a win or a top 5 but we still need to tweak on this setup a little for better corner speed.
Our 358 spec car is down currently with a broken transmission but will be out as soon as we get it back.
It was a hot one last night with temps at 98 degrees when we got there and 85 when the night was over.
Thank you to our marketing partners:

Also to everyone I call for help each week
Congratulations to Danny Bouc Racing on a dominating win last night.
Starting P4 in heat 1
Our debut night at Grandview is over, right at the end of hot laps the driveshaft or transmission broke (not sure what went first) but the result is it broke the back of the transmission. We'll get home home and assess the rest of the damage.
On a good note Sean said it was running and handling great for the 3 laps.
Tonight we will be taking the #24 modified to Grandview Speedway for the first time. Sean raced there in the sportsman class a few years ago but never ran a modified there. This will be a learning curve for the team and hopefully all goes well. The plan for tonight since we have to start last is to get in as many laps as we can, stay out of trouble and see what we have for a setup so we can build our notebook.
Rob Artim from Artims Automotive will be on one of the push trucks tonight, we hope to see him but not need him.
As always thank you to our marketing partners:

and all those friends that answered their phones to help out with my questions.
Racing starts at 7!! See you on the hill!!
We were off this weekend so in racing news we want to spotlight one of our marketing partners.
Rob Artim from Artims Automotive headed to Bristol Tennessee with the entire family for the ECF Junior drag race championship where his sons competed. They were there for a week with the finals starting on Friday and a pesky off and on rain on Saturday that held up the show till late into the evening. Michael Artim was focused all day and ended up winning his division at @ 11:30pm bringing home a Wally along with many other awards.
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO MICHAEL and THE ENTIRE TEAM!!!
Georgetown was interesting last night, they received 3 inches of rain overnight but the track looked good in the morning but when they were preparing it prior to the race water just started coming up in the turns so they tried working it in and doing everything they could since all the racers and fans were already there. Brett Deyo called a second drivers meeting and asked the drivers/owners for their thoughts and opinions on what to do as far as postpone the event or try to put on a show. Decision was made to put on the event by using timed hot laps, no heat races and go right to features only using your timed laps. Sean unfortunately got stuck behind a 358 spec car during timing and there was no room to safely pass it with the narrow track so our number 1 pill draw didn't matter and we ended up starting 13th. With the track not holding up well and getting a lot of character to it he pulled off after 5 laps to avoid beating up the car too bad.
It was an unfortunate deal all the away around and I will give Brett and the entire track crew kudos for working with the racers, he made the offer after hot laps that anyone that wants to pack up and go home will get 50 points and paid for taking the green. Not 1 car left or packed up.
I would like to thank our fans and marketing partners for the support and hopefully you can understand why we pulled off early.

Also a huge thank you to Brandon at deCordre Automotive for his help welding up a stainless steel header that broke in the previous race. This guys welding is like art work!!
Georgetown speedway tonight for the Derron Russ Memorial race. Last time here Sean drew pill 50 out of 50 for starting position, tonight he drew pill #1, maybe it's a good sign. They had a lot of rain here overnight so they are still working the track in and hopefully it will be good all night long!!!
We didn't qualify for the feature last, had a fast car but struggled trying to figure out turns 1 and 2. This is a tricky place with a unique shape and takes some time to get it right. We'll be back with our 358 spec car on Saturday night races to get more laps and figure this place out.
Thank you Brandon and Dale at Dig Shocks for your help and advice.
Congratulations to Danny Bouc on the win!!
Thank you to all our marketing partners for all their support!!

New Egypt Speedway tonight for the Short Track Super Series. Timed and started 6th in our heat race, driver had a little bobble and spun out trying too hard to move forward. Finished 10th so off to the last chance race
Our night started off slow (literally), Sean put the rear gears in upside down and the car was so slow in hot laps. Started 6th in the second heat race and finished 5th. Started 10 in the feature and ended the night in 6th place. Very happy with our performance tonight and now to fine tune our car and get the driver back in the swing of it after a 7 month layoff from the seat. Thank you to Tracy Gauger for coming over and helping out tonight and hats off to Sean for doing everything to get the car ready for this week since I hurt my back last weekend and really couldn't help him out.
We are here st Georgetown speedway for some exciting racing action on a beautiful spring day. Fingers crossed for an uneventful night and a top 5 finish with the new car!!!
Thank you to friends and family for the help and support and to our great marketing partners.

So for those who follow Sean Weiss Motorsports you know that our season ended a little early last year with a hard crash. Fast forward 6 months and a lot of work we were able to display our almost complete Big block modified #24 at R & S Property Services open house today.
Sean and I having been putting in countless hours the last couple of weeks and just got the body back Thursday night. Joe Funk knocked this wrap out of the park in a very short amount of time for us.
We absolutely could not do this without the help of friends, family and our incredible marketing partners.
Sean Weiss Motorsports would like to say a huge Thank you to

Press release for Delaware International Speedway 2024 Seasonβ¦
First I would like to thank everyone for all the texts, calls and messages since Saturday night. Sean is fine and his only injury is a fractured pinky toe (that little piggy won't be going wee all the way home for 2 weeks) he said it doesn't hurt but can't do his 3 mile runs for 2 weeks. Said he hopes he doesn't get fat from all the Halloween candy. π
The chassis on the other hand sacrificed itself in the name of driver safety. The front and rear frame bent along with the bars above his head a little, so it's scrap. We spend a lot on safety equipment and it really pays for itself when needed. Things really happen fast as his in car video shows.
We would like to thank Bicknell for building a safe Car and also thank you to the entire crew from STSS and Georgetown speedway for all the help along with everyone that stopped by our pits to check on Sean and help load the car.
As always thank you to our marketing partners:

and also help from A&B Performance Carburetor, Johnny Bangs Sr and Jr, Danny Bouc, Jones racing, Wegner Automotive, Tracy and Terry Gauger and our entire family for everything they do. I apologize for the fact I'm sure I'm missing people.
We will be doing a little more rebuilding than we had planned in the off season but we will be back strong for next season.
We are hoping to ad some marketing partners for 2024 to the already great companies that we have, if you're interested please reach out and we hopefully can put something together.
Thank you to everyone!!!
Well our season has come to an end with a crash at Georgetown speedway tonight that has caused unrepairable damage to frame, but the frame did it's job and Sean is ok. Will post more later
We finally had a decent weather weekend for racing, a little chilly but no rain at US13 in Delaware. We took 1K lettered modified (temporary number and wrap)down to get more time on it with the new engine package and aside from having trouble getting it started in the colder weather it was a good night. Sean started 3rd in the heat race and fell to 6th on the opening lap but came back to finish 4th. Started the feature in 8th was up to 7th then got moved to the outside and fell back to 11th, he was trying to pass for 10th and spun out on his own. He made some driver adjustments and worked his way back to finish 7th.
Huge thank for all the help from John and Johnny Bangs, Melissa, Tracy, Uncle Terry, and Steve.
As always we like to thank our awesome marketing partners:

Next up is championship weekend at Georgetown speedway, you can watch it live on Flo sports!!
We finally got to hit the track at Georgetown speedway on Sunday for the Camp Barnes race. This was the first time we were able to get our new engine package on the track to try it out, it ran great, plenty of power and very smooth from restarts to top end. We have to send a shout out to Buddy Holland from A&B Performance Carburetor for always giving us great customer service and carbs that work perfect every time out.
Sean won his heat race and redrew 9th for the feature but unfortunately got caught up in a jingle that ended our night on the tow truck on lap 1. All in all we were very happy with the performance. Thank you to Johnny Bangs for setup advice and Danny Bouc for all the help getting this together!!
Thank you to all of our marketing partners,

You can trust that you will get excellent service from all of them!!
So far our Georgetown speedway trip has been very relaxing since the weather postponed last night's 12K for 12K race and today's Camp Barnes Memorial has been postponed till tomorrow. Mother sure has been a b$& for racing in Delaware this year. We're deciding whether to wait it out and race tomorrow after being here for 2 days now.
π§With a heavy precipitation predicted via the approaching coastal storm, tonight's event at Delaware International Speedway has been nixed. A make-up program will take place on Saturday, October 21.
π₯Keep posted for details on the October 21 program. Racing resumes at Georgetown Speedway next Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30.
We were about 15 minutes from the track when a storm rolled through and just unloaded on the track, another win for mother nature.
Well our last few outings have been nothing to write home about, we had a left rear wheel break the entire center out which upon heading across the track no longer attached to the car caused Sean to spin out and ended up with front end damage when another competitor had nowhere to go to avoid our spinning car.
Fix the car and last time out running 17th at New Egypt the right rear axle tube broke off causing a loss of brakes to say the least, the only thing holding the wheel on was the brake caliper and rotor ending in another dnf.
Friday September 8th we will be heading down to Georgetown speedway with our new engine package and hopefully be much more competitive. The body on the car will look a lot like Rick Laubach because we purchased it from him and ran out of time to get a new wrap made, I want to thank our marketing partners because without their support we couldn't do this.

Well said!!!
Is it worth it? Leaving everything behind, risking everything for a few minutes for what? Some people won't get it. It's more than just going in circles. You're holding onto a steering wheel and being held to a seat by five straps. Leaving behind maybe a family, job, friends, everything in life as you know it. Growing up as a kid wanting to be an astronaut just to fly a rocket to be among the moon and stars. I guess you could say it's the closest thing I could get to.. Nothing, but controlled chaos trapped inside a cage, but more free inside of it than you are on the outside. No matter how good or bad the nights go you still get back in the seat because you're hooked.
When you're at your best everyone's watching. At you're worst that's when you really get to decide how you want people to see you as. Everyone's got a superhero they aspire to be like. At the end of the day you get to be your own damn hero, but the best part is being someone elses. People on the outside look at you like your completely nuts risking your life for an adrenaline rush, but it's more than that, more than a hobby, more than a checkered flag it's beyond that. When you strap in and flip the switches you've already made your choice. Once that helmet goes on you're ready for the only war that brings you peace. To make your family, friends, teammates, and crew smile and cheer you on knowing that your chasing a dream and you're actually doing the damn thing, you ask is it worth it? Is it worth the risk?
Hell yeah it is.
Every minute of it.
This past Saturday night at New Egypt was a little bit of a struggle but we're gaining on it. New class and new track are definitely a challenge but we knew that going in. We started 10th in our heat race and finished 9th putting us near the back of the feature. Sean is able to keep up with the pack but stayed back there to try a few things and stay out of trouble, once the leaders started to get close he pulled off. We'll be back at it after a week off.

We took a ride to Georgetown speedway for the Friday night race with our 358 modified. Timed 12th in hot laps, Finished 8th in our heat race. Started the feature 16th and Finished 10th, not bad running against open motors and big blocks!!
