Capacitar Workshop for Advocates: Tools for Health, Healing & Hope
Please join us Monday, March 4th, 6-7:30pm at the El Paso Community Foundation (foundation room), 333 N. Oregon, for a mind-body-spirit workshop facilitated by Dr Pat Cane, PhD, Founder and Director of Capacitar International (www.capacitar.org). Dr. Cane will guide our group in integrated practices such as tai chi, mudras, tapping, accupressure, and finger holds that help support and sustain us in our caregiving and advocacy. The workshop is intended for those supporting the migrant community in diverse roles as well as those whose work/vocation resonates. Our commitment is to reach those most in need of accessible tools for stress and affect management, coping and regulation, and connection with self and other. We teach simple, mind-body-spirit tools, such as Tai Chi Chin, Pal Dan Gum, Tapping, Breathwork, Visualization and many more. We do this community, as connection is a fundamental building block of resilience.
