Just about finished with this project. We've had a lot of fun bringing this together. A few more finishing touches like cabinet hardware and appliances and we'll have a beautiful new home for our awesome client.
Another project in the books. Fun little tile job for awesome clients. Love the movement in this tile.
Before my wife and I found out we were pregnant, we did our infamous.. start a big project right before Christmas ð We tore out two back-to-back closets, built a single closet for the guest room and designed a luxury hotel style master bath with the remaining space. To say having a master bedroom with an ensuite came at the perfect time, might be an understatement if you ask my 7 month pregnant wife.
Here are some clips from the very beginning stages of demo on a 1940's, cinder block, lath & plaster house. Needless to say, it got a little messy. ð
Classic white subway tile with a medium gray hexagon niche.
Tile is going in very smoothly, thanks to all the time we put into the prep of this shower. I've been on projects where the prep work was subpar and it is amazing how much smoother things go when it's done with care.
It's taken a lot of mistakes and redos to finally get to the point where I'm comfortable setting tile. It's a huge part of our buisness and we take a lot of pride in each piece.
Progress pictures of the master and guest bath floor tile. Really enjoying this gray hexagon tile.ð
Shower pan floated and ready for waterproofing, then tile. Floating pans is one of the most relaxing parts of tile, in my opinion. It's the deep breath of the job for sure.ðŋ
As silly as it may seem to clean up your work space daily, and before the work is complete, there's something to be said about having integrity in your work space. Especially when your work space is someone's home.

Inspection passed â
Onto drywall! ð
Rough framing, electrical, plumbing and mechanical passed inspection â
Insulation wrapped up today. Inspection scheduled for Monday. âģ
Next, onto drywall and we are off the the races. ð
Subfloor is now level and flat. Wasn't a fan of the original 5/8th thick cdx, especially with the flooring we are going with. We want our projects to be the best it can be. Especially under all the finishes. Prep work is the most important work for the tempo of the rest of the project.
Water and gas lines ran right under the subfloor. ð Big no-no, on who ever did it this way. Of course we had a shiner go right through the middle. ðĶ Mistakes happen, just have to fix it and keep working.
So much room for activities!
Saving the backs with these two material lifts. We will have it in by the end of the day!
Progress pics. The beginning stages of a full house remodel in Clayton, CA. Lots of framing to do, but we're almost there!
These small bathrooms are hard to get pictures that do them justice, but they are easy to get looking this shiny and new!
Bathroom number two, all shiny and new for this Napa rental. ð
Take your time. Make those moves and grooves match.ð
When you work with a historical remodel, you can't just toss the old wood. You have to salvage it and make something awesome for your client's office. âŧïļðïļ
Closet, or somewhere to hide from your kids while you eat the snacks you don't want to share? ðĪ
Sneak peek! Almost done with this full house remodel.

Office kitchen makeover. ð
A token of appreciation to our client who has been so patient with this complete overhaul.

This sign was made out of the 100+ year old strips of wood lath that used to hide behind the walls of this downtown Napa home- turned -office, together.
Hope you love it, ATS.
The many stages of a full remodel. ð ïļ From lots of walls and segregated spaces to a bright and open floor plan.
Not your typical office ADA restroom ð―
Stealing the RRD ig page for a little brag post. The last week before our wedding was crazy, hectic. We needed table numbers but time was stretched thin and I knew they weren't a big deal, so I just asked for a simple square block of wood we could paint the numbers on. My husband confirms, "are you sure?"
Not long after, I get a text with pictures of these beautiful pieces of wood ð with a border and a base and rustic detail. I asked for the dimensions and found these awesome brass numbers to add the finishing touch.
And this. This is why I married him. Because he never settles. Not even for the little things. ð
A closeup of one of the custom shelves in this office remodel. The detail in this old wood is so cool. ð ïļ
We've been slacking majorly with the progress pics on this Victorian remodel. These bathrooms have come a long way, even since I installed this tile but we'll get to the final product pics soon. ð
