😎 JANUARY PROMOS 😎
Happy January and… HAPPY 2021! Thank goodness - I think we’re all ready for 2021 to arrive! YL is helping us start this new year off right with some amazing promos! You can get five (5!) free oils this month!

WHAT ARE THESE PROMOS?
When you spend 100+ PV you qualify for these freebies from Young Living. You'll get even more freebies when you're on Essential Rewards. I mean think about FREE SHIPPING for 100+ PV orders... when you order heavy items like NingXia Red... free shipping is saving you a LOT of money!

Let’s look at all these amazing OILS that you’re gonna get for free this month! Do you see that if you’re on Essential Rewards, you’ll get Orange and Tea Tree for free, too! One of my favorite thing about the promos is trying oils that I normally wouldn’t buy for myself! It’s so fun to try new oils!

🌸🌸 GERANIUM
This floral oil is a must-have for your skin care and detox routine. Add to your moisturizer for radiant, dewy, even-toned skin. Did you know that some folks add geranium to their hot tub instead of chlorine?
Do you dry brush? If so, try putting some Geranium on your skin before you brush!! Also, ladies - your hormones will THANK YOU when you use this! Apply around the inside of the ankles for happy hormones.
Aromatically, the smell of Geranium helps release negative emotions (it's not surprising why you see geranium in many of our Feeling Kit blends). Diffuse it for a happy mood… and feelings of peace and hope! Emotionally, this oil releases negative memories and fears of abandonment to promote self-acceptance and uplift the spirit. Also... check out the interesting research about Geranium and liver/pancreas/bile ducts in your reference guide.
** Psst...try pairing Geranium and Sacred Mountain together and using them as deodorant.

🌸🌸 MANUKA
Sometimes we need a bit of help to create radiant skin in the wintertime. Enter… Manuka! I don’t know if it’s because the pink bottle is just so darn cute… or if it works so well on the skin… but I just love using this oil. It has very similar properties to tea tree oil, but the aroma is completely different. It’s sort of woodsy and thicker to the touch. Blemish prone skin? Combine Manuka with our Acne Treatment and you’re all set. It’s also wonderful for a healthy scalp - add a couple drops to your shampoo. Diffuse it for a warm, calming aroma!
Watch this 3 minute video and learn more about Manuka and how it is grown and harvested. Did you know it comes from New Zealand??
https://youtu.be/t6OTYWaD6BE

🌱🌱MASTRANTE
Mix Mastrante with your favorite YL moisturizer to help your skin GLOW! This smell of this oil is very grounding, calming, and relaxing. It’s been called the cousin of peppermint… and so you know that it your belly’s best friend. (hmmm… could be perfect after a long holiday season of wine and cookies!). Take it with you to inhale if you’re driving on windy roads… it could come in handy. Mastrante is very high in limonene (google what that word means!)

🍊🍊 Orange
This is my HAPPY oil!! Seriously, it’s like Sunshine in a bottle. I go through several bottles of Orange every month, because I diffuse it every single day. It smells SO good paired with any other oil… and my kids LOVE it. My favorite diffuser combos with Orange are: Orange + Joy in the daytime… Orange + Cedarwood + Dream Catcher at night… and Orange + Northern Lights Black Spruce + Valor in my office! Orange is a great oil to add to DIY sprays and roll-ons… you can never have too much Orange oil around! Add a drop of Orange oil to your Thieves toothpaste and it acts as a natural tooth whitener, too.
*Orange is a photosensitive oil, so avoid direct sunlight or UV rays for up to 48 hours after applying it.

🌱🌱TEA TREE
A staple for every home, we can't have enough tea tree in our house. You can do LOTS of great cleaning DIYs with this oil. Put a few drops in your washing machine, garbage can, or diaper pail to remove odors. This is also a great oil for all things skin - for blemish-prone skin, for healthy scalps, etc. Aromatically it cleanses the air and has a refreshing aroma. Try this trio out: 4 drops tea tree, 4 drops Rosemary and 5 drops lemon essential oils for a yummy-smelling and purifying experience. Treat your feet by massaging a few drops of this popular oil into dry heels.
**Tea tree essential oil is considered a dangerous good. Shipping restrictions will apply for some locations.

OK, so what are you most excited about?!?!?!?!

WELLNESS WEDNESDAY
Have you heard of oil pulling? Anyone tried it? 🙋‍♀️
Oil pulling is where you swish coconut oil around in your mouth for 15-20 minutes. Studies have shown that oil pulling can prevent plaque, gingivitis, and bacteria that can cause bad breath, among many other things.
How does oil pulling work? It is pretty simple! Most microorganisms in your mouth have cells that are covered with a fatty membrane. When these cells come into contact with the coconut oil, which is also a fat, they naturally stick to each other. When you swish the coconut oil around in your mouth, it draws the microorganisms from all the corners, between your teeth, and under your tongue. The bacteria then get swept away when you spit out the coconut oil!
You may think that oil pulling is a new trend, but it has been used for more than 3,000 years!
How to oil pull:
Take a spoonful of organic extra virgin coconut oil, swish it in your mouth for 15-20 minutes, and then spit it out in the trash! Don’t swallow the oil or spit it in the sink (it can clog the sink). Make sure to brush and floss as normal.
Try adding 1 drop of Clove Vitality™ to your coconut oil for added benefits. Clove Vitality can support a healthy immune system and overall wellness, making it a great addition to your oil pulling routine.

🧠 **Use Rosemary for the Brain!** 🧠

Did you know that research demonstrates that breathing in Rosemary essential oil has the following effects on mental performance?

-The speed of mathematical operations increases
-The accuracy of mathematical operations increases
-Long term memory improves
-Speed of Rapid Visual Processing tasks improves

It's important to note that many other cognitive enhancers demonstrate speed or accuracy improvement at the expense of the other; meaning if speed improves, then accuracy declines and vice versa. However, Rosemary essential oil demonstrates improvement in both measures. The research also shows a positive correlation between the degree of performance improvement and the time of exposure to Rosemary.

These tests all tap into the areas of the brain responsible for sustained attention, central executive function, continuous working memory, and arithmetic processing.

Anyone else needing a little Rosemary today?? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️

As we enjoy this cold weather, clove is a great oil to pull out.

5 ways to use Clove essential oil. Cloves are one of the most versatile spices in the world and were even a treasured commodity along the historic spice trade routes. Steam distilled from the flower bud and plant stem, Clove essential oil has a warm, spicy scent that is instantly familiar. During the distillation process, a powerful constituent named Eugenol is produced. This strong oil makes Clove an ideal choice for topical application. When used aromatically, Clove’s spicy aroma pairs well with citrus oils like Orange and Grapefruit. Clove is a key ingredient in several popular Young Living essential oil blends including Thieves, Immupower, and PanAway.

5 Ways to spice up your life with Clove essential oil:

1- Combine Clove with V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex and rub onto your neck and back for a rejuvenating massage.

2- Diffuse with Orange and Cinnamon Bark to create a comforting atmosphere.

3- Combine 1 drop of Clove with a carrier oil and apply on gums.

4- Put a few drops in a warm bath and enjoy its soothing and invigorating aroma.

5- Enjoy a spiced chai aromatically by diffusing two drops of each of these oils: Clove, Nutmeg, Ginger, and Cardamom.

Anyone else wishes they had a reset button? 🙋‍♀️When things feel hard, I douse myself in frankincense. I reset and ground myself with a drop on my head and a few drops in my palms and a bunch of big, deep breaths.

Oily Tip Tuesday....

Such an awesome tip (especially in our current times) from Healthier Thymes! Do you travel with your oils?

🌟Essential Oil Travel Hack🌟
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Oily Tip Tuesday and PSA...
..don’t be like Elvis by shaking your oils.

If you shake your oils, you’ll introduce the molecules to an excessive amount of freshly dissolved oxygen. Because the molecules that typically comprise essential oils are antioxidants, they are readily oxidized by the oxygen over time, and this rate of oxidation is increased by agitation, and the presence of heat and/or light.

Once the molecules are oxidized, their bioactivity can change in unpredictable ways, and in some instances can become allergenic.

So, to preserve your oils as long as possible, keep them in a well-sealed container in a well-controlled room temperature environment - and do not shake the bottle. The molecules are fully miscible with one another (they intimately mix at the molecular level and do not separate), so you don’t need to mix your oils before use. If it’s a blend, just gently roll the bottle in your hand for 30 seconds and you’re good to go.

Thanks to for this helpful tip.

I am not a coffee connoisseur, so I generally need to doctor it up to drink it each morning. I was needing an extra cup this morning 🥱 but wanted something different from my same old same old mixture, so I gave this a try...a packet of stevia, nut pods creamer and drop of cinnamon and 2 drops of orange essential oils. YUM!!! 😋☕️A delicious taste of fall, which is appropriate being that yesterday was the first official day of fall. 🍁☕️🍂

23/09/2020

Well, this would normally be the case, but 2020 is proving to be full of all kinds of surprises.

Happy first day of Fall, y'all...and, it actually almost felt like Fall today. 🍂😀🍁

It's Oily Tip Tuesday...

: Thieves Household Cleaner is safe to use at a 15:1 dilution or higher for most non-porous surfaces. One capful of Thieves Household Cleaner is equal to approximately ½ tablespoon, so ½ cup of water mixed with one capful of cleaner yields a 15:1 dilution.

From kitchen floors to sinks and even deodorize and clean minor spots! Here's a DIY couch and upholstery cleaner recipe:

Combine 1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner with 1-2 cups baking soda. Mix well.

Let sit for 24 hours to thoroughly combine. Add 5 drops of Lavender essential oil for an extra boost of freshness. Sprinkle lightly over furniture and wait 1 hour. Use a stiff brush and back-and-forth motions to work the cleaner into the fabric; then vacuum up the excess. You can also use this technique on car upholstery, mattresses, carpets, and rugs.

Feeling a little dull this Monday morning??

Skin support is one of my favorite benefits that I get out of using essential oils. These three little bottles create a trifecta of skincare goodness and are ready for you to create your own Glow Serum straight out of the starter kit.

It’s as simple as:
10 💧 Frankincense oil
10 💧 Copaiba oil
10 💧 Lavender oil
in a 10ml roller, serum pump bottle or dropper bottle, topped with jojoba oil 💛 Jojoba closely mimics the skin’s natural sebum, making it a great oil for normal, dry and oily skin types.

I use this Glow Serum for just that - a little extra glow, beneath my morning and evening moisturizer or mostly just alone. Another small step is taken to reduce chemical-filled products I’ve been using on my skin for years, and my skin loves it 🌿

TRUTH!! Happy Friday, y'all.

LOVE THIS! 💗

Isn't it wonderful that everything you need to know about your oils is right on the bottle, especially if you don’t have a book that really explains the Young Living Oils. Therapeutic Grade, how to use it, how many drops are in each bottle, do you need to dilute it, what’s the difference between the white bottles and colored labels on the bottles, and the batch number. You don’t see that on store oils for a reason.

Thanks to youngatheart_oils for this post.
