Hi everyone! I just finished my last craft show of the season- Pause For Pets in Lewiston (always a great time!) It has been a whirlwind season! My biggest accomplishment was making my daughter's dress for her October wedding- it was a magical day for us! I also moved into a maker space called Factory3 in Portland (check out their website) & WOW, do I feel productive! I've got space to work & there are some amazingly crafty & gifted people utilizing the space! I'm continuing to make my gift items & love special orders, & now that I have a working space I'm available to make garments or other bigger projects!
Time to get work done! I literally took the work station outside! No wifi...so old-school vinyl...I'm really enjoying this kind of work day!
Rise & shine! It has turned out to be a beautiful day! 31st annual Sturbridge Harvest Festival....lots to do for the kiddos & great vendors with beautiful & unique items!
Hi all! It's a sewing frenzy right now! Six-day countdown to Sturbridge Harvest Festival! Here is what I assume is an image of a typical back story for most crafters, lol! From this to that....
New fall items!
Sending out a great, big thank you to all the patrons & fellow crafters who attended the Gorham Lion's Club craft show at Robie Gym yesterday! It was a great day for sharing & socializing...I listened to some creative & inspiring stories from both crafters & customers!
Yay, it's craft show season! I've been very focused on crochet this year, but I've recently dusted off the sewing machine to get going on my sewn favorites- birdies, heat packs, home accessories!
Shout out to my wonderful man for putting together my bookcase shelves...yeah I like books.....
Hi everyone! I know it's been forever....but like so many of you I've been trying to figure out how to manage life with all of the upheaval. It was very disappointing not to do craft shows this year & I sort of didn't do much for product, but since my full-time job is in a medical environment, I wanted to be safe & keep others safe. However, with the colder weather & the holidays the crocheting & sewing cravings really kicked in....so here's what I've been doing.
I've got crochet messy bun hats & regular hats $8.00 to $10.00- most of them are one of a kind because I'm using up what bits & pieces of yarn I have, plus I have a really hard time sticking with one pattern or yarn for any extended time!
Also, crochet scrunchies $5.00 (I love these & can't wait until my hair finally grows out so I can wear scrunchies again)! I am in the process of making many more of these-I've got some really pretty yarn for them.
I'm also putting together some of my "regulars"- hot/cold rice packs, scrunchies with bows, stuffies, & some one-of-a-kind ornaments...I have to get some of these items out of storage & update pics!
Message me if you are interested in anything or if I've motivated you into some ideas you'd like to talk to me about...I always enjoy doing "special orders"!
Please take care of yourselves and I'll leave you with this quote from Frodo's BFF SamWise from Lord of Rings (which I'm binge watching while crocheting)...But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow, and darkness must pass, a new day will come, and when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer....
How to beat the winter boredoms....create crochet carnage! Im trying out new crochet stuffies patterns- here they are still in pieces! I think Miss Mermaid is going to be a cutie! I've also included a pic of a handful of some of my "almost dones"...it takes me forever to get around & finish the details! I can't wait for warm weather & craft shows...
Hi everyone! So the craft fairs are upon us! Come to Wallingford's Fruit House craft fair this weekend, both days from 11-4...the weather looks like it is going to be great, yeah! Come shop and do some apple picking at a beautiful farm! (I'll be showing on Sunday 9/29).
Hi everyone! Here we go...the fall craft/vendor festival season is coming up fast! My two newest girls, Sunni & Margo are ready for some adventures. We're going to be at Wallingford's/ Auburn ME, The Harvest Festival /Sturbridge MA, & Poland Community School /Poland ME this year. These events will be posted as they approach! I'm looking forward to seeing family & friends!
Morning coffee and motivation! Getting ideas for new projects...I love sharing ideas with my friends in nature!
I really enjoyed representing myself as a vendor at the Norway Arts & Music Festival on Saturday 7/13. It was a great event with fantastic live music and performances. The artwork and products of the other vendors was exceptional also! I definitely recommend it for visitors and vendors for next year's calendar!
So pretty! Day light and night light! Crocheted light-up globes...more in production at this posting. I will have them ready for Valentines Day....!
Watching football and creating some new lighted crochet balls...these new creations are going to be beautiful!
Hi everyone! I've been so busy doing craft shows and enjoying the holidays! 2018 was a successful year....so I figured I would keep on crafting into 2019! I've started building up my basic stock of items and have tons of fabric for all the new ideas I've got jammed into my brain. Here is a picture of my craft room...its feeling smaller and smaller! Keep in touch for product updates....
I even managed to get some outside time and got some great shots of my "backyard zoo"! My sunflowers were actually from seeds that this chipmunk randomly planted around the yard! He did an excellent job and he took payment with some corn and more sunflower seeds!
Here is my latest favorite finished project...Soft-stuffed Teddy bears! They are soooo soft, little hands will love the soft fur and textures, they are part of my soft toy collection which will be available at my shows. Teddy bears are $6, mini Taggies are $5, crocheted Duckies are $6. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone at the Sturbridge Harvest Festival 10/13-10/14 and the Witch's Ball in Scarborough, Maine 10/27-10/28!
Hi Friends! I've been VERY busy getting product ready for the upcoming Festivals and Fairs! I figured I would give everyone some insight into my organized chaos...My favorite room in the house...my "work room", believe it or not I can find anything in there, plus work in progress....Meet my "Assistant Manager" Bebe.
My inspirations- I love to be outdoors and I am always inspired by nature and all it's hidden treasures. I am constantly inspired by the colors, textures and shapes around me, both natural and man-made! I enjoy incorporating many colors and different techniques into the many different gifts that I create.
