Your help is needed before, during, and after the County Fair- both in the 4-H building and on the grounds.
For every hour that 4-H volunteers work on the grounds (not in the 4-H building), the Federation receives a financial donation from the County Fair Board. This donation is used to help fund the 4-H Federation.
If all families work at least one shift, it makes a significant contribution to our Federation budget. As a “thank you” for volunteering, you will receive a free parking pass and gate pass for the County Fair for each day you volunteer.
Gate passes are to be picked up on Tuesday, July 30 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the 4-H building.
* Please sign up by Monday, July 15 at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B49AFAF2BA2FAC61-48291294-north
* More information on what each volunteer slot entails is available at: https://z.umn.edu/slcf-4h-volunteer-hours

4-H showcases provide many opportunities for youth to demonstrate their learning and experiences. During the showcase event, you will have an opportunity to sit down with a caring adult (judge) who will ask you questions about the project you are exhibiting. This process is called conference judging. Conference Judging is a conversation between the judge and the 4-H’er. It is a chance for you to explain to a judge what you have learned from your project experience and is a time for the you to ask a judge questions about your project.
