These two you would think are related, nope just friends meeting again for the first time since they were 3 months old. They are both I belive a month apart. I cant wait to see what the years bring! How adorable! Thank you Shawnah!

What a special smash! This was theeee most challenging one yet! In order to respect the culture I had to ask mom a million questions. Lol. To top it off the decorations are all designed and made by me so that took some time to get them just right. In the end, it was so worth it!

Her hands helped hold the stars in place, and encouraged me to reach.
Her hands would clap and cheer and praise when I captured them at length.

Her hands would also push me, though not down or in harm's way.
Her hands would punctuate the words, just do what I say.
Her hands sometimes had to discipline, to help bend this young tree.
Her hands would shape and mold me into all she knew I could be.

Her hands are now twisting with age and years of work,
Her hand now needs my gentle touch to rub away the hurt.
Her hands are more beautiful than anything can be.
Her hands are the reason I am me.

Still am in awe that my baby girl is 1, time and is such a thief!

Ugh, this little baby girl I got to watch come into this world is just the sweetest little baby! She did so well for her pictures I can't wait to share her Milk bath session with mom! Absolutely stunning!

I have to say homebirths are my ABSOLUTE favorite sessions to do!

The joy of life being brought into this world at home is just absolutely beautiful!!

I have learned so much about the woman's body and how we all SHOULD be delivering our babies!

It was utterly the most amazing thing to witness!

I was woken up around 12:30 am to Carly calling to tell me her water broke!
I jumped out of my bed sooo fast! I was so excited! The night before I had asked my husband to help plug in my batteries, they were all dead from the wedding I had 2 nights before. I am soooo glad I had that gut feeling because just hours later I was about to photograph a birth!

I got to Carlys around 1 am and she was up cleaning and moving things around so I stepped in and took over that while she labored. I had to move things around a bit to get a king-sized bed and the pool to fit. It turned out beautiful!

Around 2 am Carly started to bake. Carly is an incredible baker, she definitely got it from her mama!

A few hours go by and her mom comes and checks on Carly nothing super crazy happening yet. Her mom heads out for a bit until around 6 am she comes back and is taking care of the two younger boys.

Carly has called her midwife a few times at this point and keeps getting told to go to bed. So in between all these hours waiting Carly gets in and out of the shower and tries to sleep a bit.

The midwife comes around 10 am to check on Carly. Carly gets special vitamin drops to help speed up the labor process. Couple of hours go by and around 1 pm we are in full active labor!

Carly is killlling it! No pain meds, no tears, no screaming, just breathing through it all! Carly finally gets into the pool and its not too long after (4 min) baby Leeah was born into this world!!! Weighing in at 7.4 and 21" long! Absolutely perfect!!!!

I couldn't believe how fast she came out! I thought I had missed the shot! Instead, I captured some images that would be treasured forever and are absolutely breathtaking!!!

I was able to get some family shots before I headed out around 630pm.
I am still in awe of how amazing the midwife was with all her knowledge and patience!!!

Carly, you are one of the most strong amazing women I know!!!! You did it, mama!

Took an old edit of mine and played around with AI a bit! Let me tell you! This took me over 30 layers! It takes much longer for Ai as you need to create them from your imagination! Trial and error is the hardest part, but man it was all sooooo worth it omg!!!
