Celebrating 25 years at Gendler Dental Center 🥂
Thank You to everyone that made it out on Saturday to help celebrate the 25 year anniversary of Gendler Dental Center! Non of this would be possible if it weren't for our staff, our amazing patients and of course, our Dr.Gendler 🦷
What a transformation! ✨️
Our patient first came to us back in 2019 for a consultation with our doctors to see what could be done to save his teeth. As seen in the before photo, our patient had already been missing some teeth, and many were badly decayed and broken. Not all hope was lost, and turned out, many of his remaining teeth were savable. After a treatment conference with two of our doctors, we had a created a treatment plan that would be divided into two phases ( upper and lower arch) that would then take place over the next couple of years. When dealing with larger and more complex cases, more prep work needs to be done ahead of time before any procedures can be started. This includes getting multiple photos, scans, and impressions of the patients teeth and bite so that our lab can fabricate a temporary set of teeth. This set of temporary teeth will then be placed in the patients mouth at the appropriate stage and any tweaks and adjustments can be made at that time. More than likely, a patient with a more complex case such as this will have multiple sets of temporaries (as pictured) throughout the course of treatment. This will allow both the doctor and patient to discuss any changes that need to be made ( length and width of teeth, color, etc.) before the final crowns can be completed.
Our patients treatment plan included root canals and crowns on the savable teeth and extractions of the non savable teeth. Depending on what tooth needed to be extracted, an implant was then placed in the socket of the tooth that we wanted to replace. Over the next couple of years, our patient went through multiple different temporaries as we gave his mouth time to heal before continuing on. Finally, the day came, and our patients treatment was finally finished. It took some time, but we think it was well worth the wait. Great job, team! 👏🏻

Even subtle changes can make all of the difference ✨️
Our patient here had slight anterior crowding with tooth #7 being set back and her two central incisors being misially rotated (towards the center or midline) . She also had some minor spacing in the upper left that created a food trap. "Food gets stuck in the left side and i don't like how my smile sinks in on the upper right side."
After taking some impressions along with photos, Invisalign was able to determine that she would be a good candidate for Invisalign treatment. In a little under a year, we were able to close the open space and rotate her anterior teeth to their proper location 🦷

The power of implants ✨️
When our patient first came to us, she had only 4 teeth remaining that supported a partial along with a full upper denture. Tired of dealing with removalable appliances, she was looking for a more permanent solution. After a consultation with three of our doctors, she was ready to move forward with treatment.
Treatment included the removal of her remaining teeth and placing 6 implants on both her upper and lower arch that would support her new fixed dentures 🦷 Her treatment was a lengthy one, but it was well worth the time and energy. She now has the smile she's always wanted and can enjoy the foods she loves most again. Great job, Doctors! Her new smile looks incredible ✨️
