September Mileage
Here's to October!
I'm excited to run my 24th marathon in November. I have 20 milers the next two weekends and then taper time.
Happy National Daughter's Day to my sweet girls! I always thought I would be a boy mom and never thought I'd have a chance of having one girl let alone two.
As they say, "Wanna know how to make God laugh? Tell him your plans"
Love my girls ๐ฉท๐ฉท
Find yourself some friends who will run 18 miles with you on a Thursday because you're going out of town for the weekend. ๐ฅฐ
It was so good to run with these girls again!
It's tough when we each have 3 kids and our schedules never line up, but when you find friends who are willing to wake up at 5am and run for hours with you on a Saturday morning keep them close.
This sweet girl is 8 months old! She is growing so fast and getting super chunky! She is happy as can be, naps and sleeps well at night, and loves her bottles. ๐ฉท
We had a great time today at the
Rahmi did great considering he doesn't ever run ๐ we had fun taking pictures, high fiving, and walking up the hills.

That's a wrap August
I'm finally getting my running fitness back after some good weeks of training and a 5k under my belt.
Next month I'm running Blue Ridge Relay for the 3rd time and I can't wait to take in those mountain views in some cooler temps.
15 muddy and sweaty miles with these two!
My longest postpartum & post surgery run and longest run in a while!
It was great seeing some familiar faces out there today suffering through the 100% humidity with us ๐
Greekfest 5k this morning with the crew.
I'm happy with my finish time it being not even 3 months after surgery and 7 months postpartum. My speedwork is paying off!

Huge shout-out to all my friends who ran today, it was gross out there ๐ฅต
7 months in and 7 months out
Postpartum life is tough. With hormones, changed bodies, and lack of sleep you feel like you will never crawl out of it. The thing is you always do it just takes time, a lot of time.
I have put my head down and worked hard to get my fitness back after having a baby 7 months ago and surgery 2.5 months ago. Having a baby makes you a mentally and physically stronger athlete. While everyone is moving forward you are starting from scratch.
Usually when I hit the 1 year post partum mark I feel back to my running fitness prior to being pregnant. I plan to turn 40 at my fittest ๐ช
Longest run since my surgery and the cooler temps felt great! Thanks for the great company!
38 intentional miles for the week
I take back what I said about my Saturday run, this was the grossest and sweatiest run. 79 dew point= extremely red face ๐ฅต
Long run โ
This was by far the grossest, most humid run I've done. Great company but so glad it's over ๐
Got in some early morning miles with
Ramping up my mileage this month to prepare for the Richmond Marathon. Even though I haven't signed up yet ๐
Long run with these awesome women today!

Hi! I have some new faces on here and I wanted to reintroduce myself.
I started my fitness career way back in 2007 as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. I was a gym rat turned marathon ju**ie but I love both equally โค๏ธ
My first marathon was in 2009 in Richmond, VA and I was hooked. I have since run 23 marathons including 6 Bostons ๐๐
I started coaching runners in 2011 as a coach for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation in Columbus, OH. I went on to become the head marathon coach of Team in Training Miami. I was a Lululemon run ambassador and I got to lead group runs and hikes at Wanderlust Yoga Festival in Lake Tahoe.
I have a passion for developing functional strength workouts for runners since I do so much of both and I know how beneficial it can be while training for a race.
I am a wife and mom of 3, ๐6y, ๐4y, and ๐6mos. I absolutely love helping other busy parents figure out how to train for races and strength train while still having plenty of time for family and work.
You can expect to see running tips, marathon training, strength workouts, and workouts with my kids on my page!
If you are in need of a trainer or run coach shoot me a DM!
Got in my mile time trial today right before Isla woke up. I got her from her crib, fed her a bottle, then brought her back in the garage to cool down on the treadmill.
6:36 mile (treadmill)
I'll have to do it again outside when I don't have baby Isla ๐
Hello summer heat. It's been a while. This was only my second run post surgery and my first one was in my comfy air conditioned garage. It's time to start acclimating ๐
Coming up:
Sept 8-9 Blue Ridge Relay
Nov 4 Charlotte Half
Nov 11 Richmond Marathon

This has been something we both wanted for a long time. It is something to bring us closer together, something to remind us daily of how blessed we are, something to show us that when we are parenting our children their mental health and well-being comes first.
We have such an important job raising kids and it can feel so heavy and stressful but God gave His children to us and entrusted us to love them, teach them, raise them.
Thank you Kayla for the beautiful and meaningful art
Love my new matchy matchy outfit from
Who's ready for summer?
Starting off the week with some miles in the bank through my favorite Charlotte neighborhood.
We had fun at the Hit the Brixx 10k today. So proud of this one for getting 2nd overall.
I managed to get 2nd in my age group today and although it wasn't quite the 7:30 pace I wanted to do ( my watch had 7:39) I'm proud to be able to snag an AG award 4 months post partum.
10k 47:55
This was my last race for a while as I go in for surgery next month. Prayers are welcome!
