Parker Pretends
Follow Parker along as he creates costumes as big as his imagination.
Happy June everyone!
❤️
I guess we're moving on to more sophisticated musicals... and an increase in facial hair.
Parker’s uncle played soccer in Hawaii as a teen and brought home this cool fabric that’s been tucked away for years. This year at Christmas Parker turned that fabric into a skirt for his little cousin so she could wear her dad’s Hawaiian print on their vacation.
She’s a pretty cute little model!
Time for the little guy to return!
This was always Parker when I asked him to clean up the costumes.
Obligatory Tik Toks made
riley :) on TikTok parker switched up roles for this one 😎
The costume choices have definitely changed but his commitment to the character has not.
It’s the anniversary of Parker’s first costume.
Annual first Halloween costume post. He hadn’t hit two pounds yet but was already prepared for his first holiday in the NICU.
Okay, who’s got a baby we can borrow??

Be a Kermit.
Parker is in Descendants this weekend and next, the show is excellent BUT I must tell you, if you have a kid around 11 or 12, hold onto your hat and their hand if they’ll let you. These boys, they change ridiculously fast in just 3 years.
Go Grandpa!!
Yes!
So good.
This is beautiful
A 16-year-old boy has gone viral for his fierce prom look and it's getting us in our feelings in the *best* way.
Going by the Twitter name Miss Frou Frou, self-described "young drag queen" Korben headed to his school prom in a stunning sequin tuxedo jacket with matching bowtie and ball skirt. Celebrated for his self-expression, the schoolboy was met with "cheers" from both pupils and staff at Archbishop Sancroft High School in Harleston, Norfolk according to reporting in the BBC.
Yesterday we went to a Pride event.
Me to Parker: You’re not wearing anything rainbow to the flag ceremony?
Parker: Nope
Also Parker after stopping at a store with a Pride display on the way there.
This is Parker. Always and forever.
Throwback Thursday to the days of construction paper costumes and canons pointed at your head.
Parker needs a project to work on with some deadlines (only one of us may feel this way). Anyone know of any photography, video or creative-type contests for teens?
Parker’s little cousin lives across the country and when I sent her a photo of Parker in Elf she asked if she could be “an elf like Parker” when she grows up. Parker made her a junior elf costume for Christmas and, after watching his show via video, she practiced her favorite move… the bow. (Video in comments)
Fog machine update: While filming a 2 am video of himself going through fog on a hoverboard (because what else would a 14 year old be doing at 2 am?) Parker floated the fog right toward our smoke detectors.
We'll happily send this fog machine to your home to check your smoke alarms. We don't even need it back.
Santa needs to lay off the wine while Christmas shopping in the future.
Merry Christmas, Parker got a fog machine. The fog does not magically sweep over the room and clean up the tornado of Christmas morning, we tried. We may have to hide the remote because he still likes to push buttons as much as he did when he was little. Glad little Parker is still in there but opening all the windows at 7 am was not in the plan.
