I was in the warehouse packing up orders for Lovi Finland 3D figures and thought I’d show you some of the pieces we’ve got in the shop 🐈‍⬛🐕🌳
You’ll notice that the packages are flat 😳 but the figures are 3D. Inside the envelope are thin sheets of plywood. Click the individual pieces out of the sheets and slide them together using the easy instructions included. A fun craft (like a puzzle). A fabulous gift. Great decor.

Still Life #2. Mini vases on a tray by the window! A couple of weeks ago my middle daughter graduated from university. She received some lovely bouquets as gifts. Now the roses are a bit droopy so I pulled off the wilted petals, cut them way down and they’re getting a new showing in these gorgeous little vases.

JUST ARRIVED from Germany 🇩🇪 Woodland Gnome Smoker figures - a wonderful fit for summer. Place a smouldering cone of incense in the belly of the wooden figure and enjoy the fragrant smoke curling up through its mouth. We’ve got Citronella incense cones that can help keep away the mosquitoes when you display the Smoker on a deck table. I’ll post some videos in the Story to show the fabulous little details of these handcrafted Gnomes

Hmm 🤔 how does a shop called “Gingerbread World” come to sell candle holders, vases, housewares and other beautiful things that are not gingerbread?? Twelve years ago when I bought this little company, it only sold yummy German gingerbread called Lebkuchen. Germany is famous for its Christmas Markets and I thought it would be fun to add other festive items from Europe to the shop - like nutcrackers, ornaments and confections - to make it into a sort of Christmas Market online. The designers and workshops we partnered with offered pieces for other times of the year so I thought we’d curate year round collections from all over Europe. It has been a lot of fun finding new lines to add to the shop and hearing from customers how delighted they are with the selection.

Can you believe it?! We’re already starting to work on the Christmas catalog for the Holiday Season 😳! So glad to be working again with graphic designer (and good friend 😍) Dian (could this be our 8th catalog together??!!). April is always a busy time of year when you’re in the Christmas biz - we’re placing orders for all the yummy pastries and confections specially imported from Europe as well as ornaments, folk art and gifts. One of my favourite collections to buy for is Advent Calendars - we’ve got some customer favourites returning plus some fun new ones AND we’re still searching for a few more 🎉🎉
