Reminder:

First LSJ prospect skate is tomorrow 4/8 5:45-6:45 pm at Garden Ice Arena.

Skates are open to those players trying out for the 24/25 LSJ Warrior Varsity and/or JV team.

The LSJ program welcomes all Warriors prospects to attend up to 4 skates ahead of tryouts. This is a great opportunity for any player desiring ice time to prepare for the upcoming tryouts. These skates are optional, not mandatory. Payment options are $15.00 for each attended skate or $55 to attend all scheduled sessions.

The love, joy and courage that Mattox brought to all he met was a privilege to all of us.

Our hockey family was blessed to have the light he brought to this world in our lives.💜

As we close the weekend we want to thank everyone for all the support they showed for Slap the Puck Out of Cancer.

Despite the weather our hockey families and friends showed up for their loved ones!!

We heard so many touching stories during the event.

We shared some of those stories during the games.

During the Wolves 12U AA Wolves game we honored that family of Danielle Yeager. Danielle was an amazing wife, mother and friend that wanted everyone to remember to always CHOOSE JOY!!

At the LSJ JV game we were honored to have Dale DeLong drop the puck to start the game. Dale is the grandfather of goalie Aaron Hernandez. Dale is fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer and he said his friend, family and faith help him keep fighting.

At the end of the JV game we honored Michael Street. His sister Michelle and dad Tom were there to share honor his memory. Michael began his journey with the intent to survive to spend time with niece and nephews. He loved them more than life. He was determined to teach them to fish, fix cars and wrap Christmas presents.

At the LSJ Varsity game we were honored to have Steve Ringer drop the Puck to start the game. Steve, an avid hockey and Warriors fan beat his battle with cancer with his friends and families by his side.

Between the 2nd and 3rd period of the Varsity game we honored Carol Cramer. Carol is a fellow hockey player that is in the mist of her battle, she is almost finished with her chemo journey, five treatments completed and I have one treatment left at the end of January and then I will complete the balance of my years treatment with gene therapy drugs to treat my HER2+ positive diagnosis.

WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO:

It cannot corrode faith
It cannot eat away peace
It cannot destroy confidence
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot shut out memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot reduce eternal life
It cannot quench the spirt
