The last 10 days we have had to say good by to some long time friends. Bentley made it to 13yrs old. He had the heart of a little lion and the trust of a lamb.
Storm I knew from a few days old. He was just a happy boy and always had something to say.such a good boy.
Tyler, this fluffy beautiful gentleman of a cat.
Our hearts are with their families who loved them all dearly.

Have you been thinking about adoption but haven’t had time to visit our shelter? If so, tonight’s your night!

Our animal shelter is staying open late in celebration of Clear the Shelters month, a nationwide effort to showcase needy animals. Our building is overflowing with pets, and we hope you will consider opening your heart and home to just one.

Animal shelter staff will be ready to learn more about you and what you want in a pet. Based on your lifestyle needs, we’ll make every effort to introduce you to several who might be suitable for you and your family. We have hikers, couch potatoes, social butterflies, free-spirits, swimmers, loyal job-seekers, windowsill sitters, and feather-toy destroyers. We have over 200 animals who are ready to go home with you today.

The photography that is making the world go around. One of the last two white rhino specimens left on the planet, monitored 24/7 by a military so that poachers don’t kill it. With this photo, taken at a nature reserve in central Kenya, Matjaz Krivic won the award for “Best Travel Photographer 2022”.

Anniversaries should be a reason to celebrate, but not when it's for reaching one year of living at a shelter.

Last week, Baby Girl hit a milestone, but we've decided not to tell her. We want her to remain the happy, care-free dog that she is to us. But the truth is, she really needs your help- she needs to be noticed.

She seems to like other friendly dogs, likes going for rides and adventures with her volunteer friends, and is just excited about life. Who doesn't need a little more of that?

We hope she will be one the the dogs who will find their freedom during Clear the Shelters month. A family, a friend, and a future is our dream for this very nice dog.

Visit her today at SE 66th Street in Ocala, just off of Baseline Road. marionfl.org/animal
