It is that time of year again. Looking for volunteers to work at Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival. Crewing for the balloons is the best way to see the festival. You are done early in the am and can spend the rest of the day at the festival without paying admission!!!! Crew shifts are from 5:30 am to about 10 am. Go to the festival web site and select volunteer. If you want to crew for more than just the festival, we always need crew for our handicap accessible hot air balloons flying over Temecula Wine Country. BTW I can sign off community service hours for teens that can get into the festival (drivers preferred). If the day you want to crew is booked up, dm me and we can work it out.

Have you ever wondered how we get these beautiful balloons up and in the sky? Well it takes you, our amazing crew to come help! We need 4 crew per balloon. 1 person turns the fan on stays by the fan and turns it off, 2 people hold the opening of the balloon (the throat) open while the fan pushes the cold air in, and 1 person holds the line at the top of the balloon to keep it from rolling (the crown line). Afterwards we pack the balloon back into the bag and truck or trailer.

I am a pilot for Reach For The Stars Hot Air Balloon Foundation and these are super simple ways to help out! Come on out offer to help out and be a part of the fun! We cannot do it without crew. Who knows, you could get ‘the bug’ and become a pilot like me!

We are always looking for crew to help with our accessible balloon flights. We do them at sunrise, weather permitting, over the Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country. Our balloons are uniquely configured to allow a wheelchair in or sit a person in our VIP chair with a harness. We share the joy of ballooning with people of all abilities.
We are also a register 501c3 foundation and qualify for community service hours for those that need that.

We had Kirby from Making Good out a few years back. We are still providing accessible flights, now with two balloons over the Temecula Valley. Come out and see us and make your dreams of flight come true.

We had the opportunity to fly this remarkable young man in the Reach For The Stars Hot Air Balloon Foundation balloon. He enjoyed the flight and enjoyed the ride on the lift gate back to the paved road as well. We are so proud of you Ben Lou!

San Diego's very own Stephen Hawking Rather than being called a patient, Ben Lou prefers titles such as physicist and philosopher.

We traveled to Kingman, Az for the Uncommon Journey event at Journey Church. They have a ministry for members with special needs. One young lady told me I fulfilled her dream of flying in a balloon. Special thanks to Carol and Dennis Stafford for hosting us.

Temecula, CA –The most talked about and well-known community Festival in the Temecula Valley is set to kick off an incredible weekend on May 19-21, 2023, and will celebrate its 40th Anniversary. This year’s festival will feature a gorgeous Pala Casino hot air balloon that offers a unique and heartfelt story to go along with it. Through a relationship that was fostered during last year’s Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Festival, Pala Casino graciously donated the funds to Reach for the Stars Hot Air Balloon Foundation for a second handicapped accessible hot air balloon. The new balloon, referred to as ‘Pala Spirit’, is a 120,000 cubic foot balloon featuring the Pala Casino logo. This six-person basket is custom made with a viewing window and VIP chair for any person that cannot stand for the duration of a balloon flight. The ‘Pala Spirit’ balloon has been spotted flying over the Temecula Valley and the most recent flight was on April 5, with passengers Sam and Jill from England. It had always been Sam’s dream to take a ride in a hot air balloon, but being in a wheelchair, the options were limited. Sam’s family contacted Reach For the Stars and arranged a sunrise flight, making Sam’s dream come true. Lasting memories were certainly made that day. Alongside the ‘Pala Spirit’ balloon, nearly 30 additional hot air balloons will take flight into the blue skies overlooking Lake Skinner and the beautiful Temecula Valley during the exciting 3-day Festival.
