Our bariatric surgery, Weight Management Solutions of the Southwest, has achieved accreditation from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program®

MBSAQIP is a comprehensive, nationwide surgical quality program aimed at ensuring the safe and effective performance of metabolic and bariatric surgery. Surgical outcomes focus on weight loss and the treatment of obesity-related diseases, like diabetes, sleep apnea, and others. Research shows accredited centers experience lower complications, and better outcomes than that of non-accredited facilities.

Congratulations, Dr. Blair and team!!! 👏🎉

Grace Methodist Church provides a free lunch to the community every Saturday. Every quarter CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico donates a meal and provides a team to serve and clean after the meal. On June 22, the physicians practice team served 200 meals to community members.
Our Associates and FANS team also volunteered to support firefighters and those affected by the Ruidoso and Mescalero fires. 275 meals served three times a day for four days.
Thank you to our Associates for giving back to your communities. We're all in this together! 💜

Juneteenth is American history. It celebrates a second Independence Day in our Nation, also known as Freedom Day. As we reflect on our shared history, we honor the legacy and resilience of those who advocated for change. We also celebrate our diverse community and the enduring spirit of freedom. Happy Juneteenth!

On this day in 1865, the enslaved peoples of Galveston, TX finally learned of their freedom over two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. Today, we celebrate freedom for all Americans and the effective abolition of slavery through the country's newest federal holiday, Juneteenth.

The name "Juneteenth" comes from the combination of "June" and "nineteenth" and the holiday's full official name is "Juneteenth National Independence Day." The color red plays a big role in the celebration of Juneteenth, as it represents resilience and joy. Historically, Black populations across the country have celebrated with parades, family reunions, rodeos, cookouts, baseball, and red foods (a practice that honors West Africans' use of red in ceremonies). Today, Juneteenth is a day for Americans of all backgrounds to rejoice this key step towards equality and to remember the devastating history of slavery that made this holiday necessary.

National Park sites are wonderful places to honor our shared history and celebrate our shared future. In this vein, Juneteenth is one of six fee-free days in the National Park system. Come explore White Sands at no charge all day today!

You can learn more about Juneteenth here: https://www.nps.gov/subjects/npscelebrates/juneteenth.htm

There are no open roads into Ruidoso. You can also see updates at Ruidoso-NM.gov. You can also tune into 1490 AM for updates.

Our thoughts and support are with our neighboring communities of Ruidoso, Mescalero and surrounding areas. And also with the firefighters, first responders and everyone who is helping residents, business owners and livestock get to safety and aiding in this crisis. Thank you🙏

This is a reminder that the Village of Ruidoso and a good portion of Lincoln County are in the midst of an active wildfire event with the Village of Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs, and Lincoln County in full evacuation mode.

Please stay out of the area, and do not attempt to get back into the Village. There are no open roads into Ruidoso, and the New Mexico State Police will have roadblocks at all entry points and they will not allow you to pass.

Thank you for your cooperation as we work through this to get through this.
