Which means my skin is starting to crack. 😩 I love our beeswax lotion this time of year. Beeswax creates a protective layer on the skin. It's also a humectant , which means that it attracts and binds water. Both of these qualities can help the skin stay hydrated. Yeehaw!

It's World Honey Bee Day! The day recognizes both the honey bee and the beekeepers who tend the hives. It also encourages everyone to enjoy and buy locally grown honey. 🐝🍯

To celebrate and honor our favorite creatures, here are 5 interesting facts about the incredible honey bee:

🐝 It's a Woman's World
Male bees (drones) come from unfertilized eggs and comprise only about 15% of the population of a colony. The female bees (worker bees) are the heart and muscle of the hive. 💁🏻‍♀️

🐝 Bees Are the Ultimate Neat Freaks
Bees that maintain the hive work diligently to keep it clean. The only bee that poos inside the hive is the queen, and there are designated bees that clean up after her when duty calls. Honey bees even try to die outside of the hive to not messy up their hive.

🐝 1/3 of Every Bite We Eat
One third of the fruits and vegetables we consume is the result of honey bee pollination.

🐝 1 Pound of Honey = 2 Million Flowers
To make one pound of honey, honey bees must gather nectar from nearly 2 million flowers.

🐝 They Boogie Down
Honey bees communicate with each other by dancing.

We love these fascinating animals!

Most mornings I unintentionally skip breakfast especially during the school year hustle or I get the bites of what my youngest refuses to eat. But when I do have time to make myself breakfast, it's this.

Flashback to last year gearing up for back to school…

Now this year they are a taller, crazier and I am not ready for them to grow up! What a busy and beautiful summer it was!

After being around stinky boys for over a week, I needed a scent pick-me-up so I got moving in the warehouse making our beeswax soaps!

We are back from hot and humid Florida 🥵 for the boys' World Series. It was a great time full of laughs, love, stinky boys and baseball.

I am back in work mode and buzzing away to fulfill your orders. Ready to hit the ground running...🐝

I remember him just riding on my lap on the Hummer Bee as a toddler. But now here we are.

One of my greatest blessings is getting to raise my boys in and around our family business that is over 100 years old. We are humbled and honored to get to teach them:
