Grateful to organizations like HOTEL INC and the Homeless and Housing Coalition of Kentucky for organizing today’s roundtable in Bowling Green. Together, we can find solutions and a better way to support our neighbors.

It's so important to take care of our natural resources. From our wildlife to our drinking water to recreation, clean waterways are vital to our community.

We all have a role to play.

Last weekend, as we gathered on the grounds of what is formerly Jonesville, I heard directly from former residents and their descendants. I thank them for sharing their stories and for everyone in the Jonesville Reconciliation Workgroup for their work in documenting and honoring this community.

Earlier today I joined local Feeding Kentucky volunteers to help pack and distribute bags of food to our neighbors in need.

So many in our community are struggling, and I’m thankful for organizations like Feeding America that show up and do the work to help us end food insecurity.

It’s been 29 years since the Srebrenica genocide, but the deep pain and grief is still felt by so many in our Bowling Green Bosnian community today.

Their perseverance in the face of genocide and great tragedy is a testament to the power of resilience and the importance of memory. Every year the Bosnian community walks 8372 steps to remember the victims of this atrocity and I was honored to stand and march with them Saturday at the Walk to Remember Srebrenica.

As we celebrate today, let’s remember that liberty and justice are more than lofty principles. They’re ideals we must fight for every day, both in our country and in our community.

This morning, the world, and WKU, lost one of its best. WWII veteran, Hilltopper extraordinaire, friend, Lee Robertson lived every moment of his 102 years to the fullest and in service to his community. May we all follow his lead and honor his memory by doing the same.

Rest in peace, Mr. Western.

As your state representative, I was proud to cosponsor and vote to legalize medical cannabis. Having a medicinal cannabis dispensary in BG is a compassionate step forward for those who are suffering from illness. I heard this countless times from city residents at their doors, and I know first hand from friends how it helps ailing patients.

Grateful for my amazing dad, who taught me how to drive, give a speech, and work hard every day to serve my community.

And I’m grateful to Michael, the best father I could ever hope for to raise Alex and launch him into his next chapter in life.

Great to see Super Prep scholarship winner (and track ⭐) Myra Jones last weekend!

Myra is one of the exceptional student-athletes from Bowling Green area high schools recognized for their achievements in sports, academics, and community service.

Great to see everyone out at the UAW Hall–we’re all in this together!

I’ll never stop working toward a future where everyone in Bowling Green can live free from discrimination and be treated with fairness and love.
