OJ, a famous retired Black athlete was famously acquitted on Oct 3, 1995 of the June 12 1994 double murder of his estranged wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her "Friend", Ron Goldman who were both White. The trial started on January 24, 1995 and lasted for about 8 months. His acquittal practically divided America along racial lines, with most blacks supportive his acquittal and most whites against it.
