Hosting an exchange student is a wonderful way to learn more about another country and gain a new perspective on the world without leaving your home. Everyday activities are more fun when you share them with a student who is eager to discover the American way of life. Your whole family will grow as you exchange ideas and compare cultures and lifestyles. Our program is an AYP program; that is, Acad
emic Year Program. Most of our students arrive in mid August and stay the school year, a ten month period. We also welcome January students, who may return home for the summer, and then return for August through January. However, the majority of our students do arrive in the late Summer. Our students are well-screened to ensure that they are prepared to learn and interact within our culture for the program duration. In addition , these students are given an orientation session abroad before arriving in the United States, reviewing program rules and expectations, and are also given a local orientation with their Area Coordinator after their arrival.
