I sponsored a special Thanksgiving Lunch for the seniors at the Northeast Multi-Service Center. It was a pleasure to share this gift of service with my daughter, Grace, who helped serve these hot meals to our seniors. I love giving back to the community, meeting the people I represent and spreading a little bit of holiday cheer. Thank you to Melanie Allen and her daughter LaKira of Catfish Willy’s for catering this delicious meal. Happy Thanksgiving!

That’s a wrap! We just finished distributing turkeys at my 18th Annual Turkey Giveaway in the Fifth Ward, Sunnyside and South Park. I want to send a very special thank you to Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Mayor Sylvester Turner, other elected officials and the many volunteers who helped spread a little bit of holiday cheer to families in SD 13.
