We were also treated to performances by , who will be at the Ahmanson next year appearing in the Sondheim production Old Friends before it moves to Broadway 🎭

We got our first look at ’s upcoming season with announcements of shows coming to the Ahmanson, the Mark Taper Forum, and the Kirk Douglas Theatre!

| ad - invited guest | We were so excited to attend opening night for Dr. Suess’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! the Musical at the this week! Seeing this show live on stage was such an absolute treat!

This really is the perfect way to feel the Grinch-mas spirit and a great option for those looking to bring their young kids to live theatre this holiday season. really makes the Grinch his own and is absolutely hilarious! We saw as Cindy Lou Who and we were all completely blown away by her talent!! All the Whos were so much fun to watch; the show is truly so entertaining! The musical has such a great mix of classic songs and original songs and we will be listening to this soundtrack all season long!

After the show, Logan and Vada went to the stage door to meet the cast. We met all 4 kids (alternating Cindy Lou Whos and Annies) and they were all so adorable and thrilled to be there. Logan was very excited to meet both old Max and young Max and of course, the big green guy himself!

This production is only at the Pantages through December 17, so make sure to grab your tickets now before they’re gone!!

| ad - invited guest | Wesley and I were so overjoyed to be invited to see Dog Man the Musical. As you know, Wesley is not usually the kiddo to hop up first to see theatre…but the Dog Man books have his whole entire heart. He learned to read alongside them and rereads them constantly. When he heard there was a Dog Man musical, he told me it would probably be his favorite musical ever!

Dog Man absolutely did not disappoint!! Wesley was beaming ear to ear to see his favorite characters brought to life!! George, Harold, Dog Man, Petey, Lil Petey, and Flippy all come alive on the stage. Wesley tells me that the show had a mix of both the 2nd and 3rd Dog Man books. It’s perfect for your Dog Man fans, running just 90 minutes long with a 10 minute intermission. There’s tons of cute merch for sale, as well as the entire library of books!! Wesley brought his Petey plushie, but I couldn’t resist getting him Lil Petey, as well as picking up the new Cat Kid Comic Club book that just released last week!

After the show, he even asked to wait by the stage door and meet the actors. He took pics with almost everyone…swipe to the end to see Dog Man and Lil Petey!! Everyone was so nice and kind and interested in what he had to say about the show and books. We both had such a nice evening! Get your Dog Man loving kids over to the before January 7 to see this charming show!!

I think these were our most complicated Oogie Boogie Bash costumes yet, but they ended up being a ton of fun!! Robin Hood is a core childhood movie for me and to get to do these costumes was an absolute dream!

Just a quick spooky trip to visit some friends at !! This was Vada’s first time catching FrankenBob and she was VERY excited!! 🖤💚🖤💚

Also, she stole my Beetlejuice from and I’m not too mad about it…she looks so cute with it! Had to show her how to pose with a - swipe to the last photo to see it look like a full size backpack on her 🤣 🫶

It’s that time of year, where your scary side and your spooky side come out to play!! Both Halloween Horror Nights and Oogie Boogie Bash start this week and I am SO 👏 EXCITED 👏 to see everything!!! 🎃👻💀🪦

We got to be in the presence of ROYALTY last night at with at 😱😱😱

I literally cannot believe we experienced SIX from the 2nd row center, like…the seats were so incredible 😭😭 The Queens were AMAZING. We screamed and shrieked and clapped the whole time and I cried A LOT. This moment has come so full circle for us from the night that and I were driving home from Disneyland in early 2020 and “All You Wanna Do” came on my recommended tracks and we were like….what in the world is this song?! We spiraled down a rabbit hole of research- it’s a Spice Girlsesque concert by all 6 of Henry VIII’s wives?! WHAT??!!

Damn did those Queens serve last night 👏👏👏 How lucky are we that we saw ORIGINAL QUEEN returning to her role of Jane Seymour last night?! Heart of Stone had me in absolute tears…she was SO incredible 😭😭 And OG Broadway cast member who was gut wrenching with “All You Wanna Do.” was commanding as Catherine of Aragon and was a hilarious Anne Boleyn!! brought down the house with her vocals as Catherine Parr, but my runaway favorite was as Anna of Cleeves….the way she DOMINATED with “Get Down” 👏👏👏👏

I can’t believe how lucky I am that I get to see this show again this week!!! We all agreed that this rocketed to the top of our list of favorite shows. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much FUN in a theatre. RUN RUN RUN to see this show while it’s here!!!!! 👏👏👏👏

| hosted | Today we were invited to see at Ahmanson Theatre and we were completely blown away!! This musical lives deep in the recesses of my childhood- I was obsessed with this music, especially “The Girl I Mean To Be,” as a little girl! I loved the movie and the book too, and spent a fair amount of time digging holes looking for my own secret garden key. I was SO excited to be able to share this show with Logan and we both absolutely loved it!! The set design is breathtaking and the cast is just incredible. is beautiful as Lily…her voice will leave you stunned. was the most perfect, precocious Mary Lennox- she was so good!! blew everyone away as Martha and completely brought down the house with “Hold On.” I think my favorite might have been as Dickon. From the moment he stepped on stage, he was so charismatic and charming! The ensemble was such a wonderful presence on stage and made everything so ethereal. We are so lucky to have this revival with this incredible cast here in LA!

I can’t express how grateful I am to for inviting us to see the debut of this revival!! The Secret Garden is at the Ahmanson from now until March 26th! 🗝️🥀

Happy opening to Super Nintendo World!! I can’t believe we get this all new land out here at ⭐️🍄⭐️🍄

We’ve been lucky enough to be there a few times before it’s official open today, and here are some of my tips:

⭐️ Power bands are 💯 worth it!! The games throughout the land are so much fun and by collecting 3 keys, you can enter Bowser Jr’s Shadow Showdown, which is like it’s own awesome attraction! Bands are sold throughout the park and on . They come in 6 different designs and are $40/each. No discount apply.

🍄 Download the app to link your power band, track your coins, and get stamps for all your achievements throughout the day.

⭐️ Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge is an absolute BLAST! If you’re prone to motion sickness, this one really is not too bad. It’s pretty slow moving and relies heavily on the AR, which does not give the woozy feelings like a 3D screen ride might. It can be a bit of a sensory overload and definitely takes multiple rides to get the hang of the actual game play.

🍄 Don’t sleep on the Toadstool Cafe!! We loved everything we tried, but the Luigi burger was a stand out!! Truthfully it’s the best food right now.

This weekend, we had the pleasure of attending the Christmas Celebration at SeaWorld San Diego!! This is our second year coming down to see all the holiday fun the park has to offer and I am absolutely loving this new tradition.

This year we hit all the rides (including the just opened this year Emperor!), dined with the orcas, saw both Bumble and Rudolph, met Santa, and watched the fireworks at park closing. Our day was full of so much fun and I am so excited to share it all here!!

We had so much fun watching an early screening of Avatar: The Way of Water last night!! The film was just so stunning, beautiful, and absolutely incredible to see in RealD 3D 😍 My “mom review” is in my stories right now, but Logan and I both agreed that his siblings are still a little too young for this one. Also, bear in mind for your wiggly kiddos- the run time is over 3 hours!!

That all being said, I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to see this movie in theaters and enjoy the evening with Logan. Thank you SO much to , , , and for inviting us out!💙💜
