During my hiatus, I discovered something unexpected - a hidden sadness that had been silently affecting me (the loss of my mother). Today, I want to open up and share my experience, in the hopes that it may resonate with some of you and inspire a deeper understanding of ourselves and our online interactions. 💙

1. The Mask of Social Media:For years, I used Facebook to portray the best version of myself. Picture-perfect photos, exciting updates - it was all about showcasing happiness. But behind the scenes, I was secretly struggling with sadness. Can you relate? 😔
2. The Disconnect:One day, it hit me - my online presence was a barrier to truly connecting with others. Scrolling through my newsfeed, I saw friends seemingly living their best lives, and it made me question my own worth and happiness. Comparing ourselves to others isn’t fair, right? 🤷🏾‍♀️
3. The Decision to Disconnect:In a moment of clarity, I made the tough choice to take a break from Facebook. It was time to step away from the comparison game and seek a deeper understanding of myself. I was scared of missing out, but I knew it was necessary for my mental well-being. 🌟
