The Essex Senior Center, located in the heart of Essex just one block off Eastern Avenue, provides educational, social and recreational opportunities for active seniors. Membership is offered to Baltimore County residents 60 years of age and older and their spouses. There is no fee to join the center; however, donations to the Center Enhancement Fund are always welcome. These donations stay within

Essex Senior Center was able to avoid the rain today (until the drive home) and have a great trip to Pennsylvania. We started out with the show “Daniel” at the impressive Sight & Sound Theatre and then headed to Bird-In-Hand’s temporary restaurant for a buffet lunch. No one went home hungry!
We will be returning to Sight & Sound Theatre April 2, 2025 to see “Noah” so contact our office soon to sign up as this is sure to be a big hit!

Seats are still available for our trip to Su***de Bridge for some steamed crabs, crab soup and more on August 7th! Afterwards we will travel to Delaware for some fun shopping at Byler’s Market. Huge thank you to Baltimore County Police Department Precinct 11 for their generous donations of 39 pairs of PJs towards our Casey Cares Pajama Drive! We dropped off a box at their precinct and the staff did the rest. We appreciate your continued support more than you know! All the kids and their families who will be receiving these pajamas will appreciate it as well.

In March we collected items for Buddy Packs. Today we assembled those items into 38 Buddy Packs that will be delivered to the homeless shelter.

Essex Senior Center Travel Office had a fun-filled day centered around food Wednesday! We started our adventure at Stauffer’s Cookie Outlet for discount cookies and snacks. Then we had a fabulous multi-course tea at The Old Farm House Tea Room. We ended our day with a stop at Brown’s Orchards & Farm Market. No one went home hungry!!

If you are planning to come out for the Baltimore County Police Department Community Engagement Meeting at Essex Senior Center tomorrow (April 18) at 6:30 p.m., bring a NEW pair of pajamas WITH THE TAGS ON to donate to the Casey Cares Foundation!

We will have a donation bucket in the lobby where PJs can be dropped off. Share your input on the new Precinct 11 renovation and share the love to children in the hospital with new PJs.
