I heard a street performer the other day singing "A Song For You" by Donnie Hathaway. Was in a rush to an event downtown, but after a few more bars of him singing, my body just automatically turned and started walking towards the music. The emotion, conviction, and power in his voice was too strong, I guess. The whole time, I thought about how good he would sound with an orchestra accompanying him. I gave him a some cash and asked to film for a bit. At home, I added in violins, piano, some percussion to create Mustafa's orchestral debut :)

One of my favorite things about being home is getting to see JW Green, a 92 year old WWII veteran with a knack for making dope fiddles. Got to stop by and try out his latest violin—sounded unreal. Questioning whether or not I should get it...maybe I should get a car first lol. Audio is just me trying to put a modern RnB twist on some 1950s string textures. All strings (except cello) were recorded on a JW Green 5 string. #violin #fiddle #easttennessee #handmade

Super fun little project from this past summer! My uncle let us take his boat out on the Potomac River, but my family isn't particularly skilled at fishing or swimming...but we certainly like making music together! Enjoy!
