Our first charitable event for the new year will be to benefit Centre County PAWS/animal adoptions, as submitted by Kristen Dzvonyicsak.
"There are so many animal shelter & rescue organizations in Centre County that are not affiliated with the ASPCA or the Humane Society. They are their own organization & they work tirelessly in our community to help animals, as well as partnering with shelters that are overrun with strays to bring them back to Centre County to keep them out of kill shelters. They were recently able to hire an in-house veterinarian, which will not only help cut costs for the animal shelter, but hope to be able to provide vet care to lower income families. They have a fantastic network of dedicated volunteers, including our own employee Shannon Hawbaker. She is a dog walker, pet transporter & often opens her home as a foster for dogs. This organization means a lot to me. First & foremost I am an animal lover, it was passed on to me by my own mom. When I was a kid, we often had multiple dogs at hour home, because my mom could not say no when she heard about a dog in a bad situation. We often joked that she loved animals more than people. After she passed away, I found myself wanting to be more supportive of shelters as a way to honor her memory."- Kristen.

Centre County PAWS | Animal Adoptions And Shelter Centre County PAWS is a non-profit animal shelter in State College, Pennsylvania dedicated to finding forever homes for cats and dogs. We are a non-euthanasia, member-supported, volunteer-enabled organization dedicated to the Promotion of Animal Welfare and Safety.

Yesterday, we had our Training and Compliance team, led by Jess Beck and Kristen Mansberger, with some hands-on help from our SVP Angela Unterbrink, providing technical training on enhanced features of our property management software.

We had approximately 25 Community Directors in attendance for a full day of comprehensive training on important initiatives that will help improve efficiencies, control expenses, as well as provide more detailed reporting to our clients.
