We have a map and list of locations for our 1st annual community garage sales! They will also be at the post office, city hall, Main Street Salon and Northview bank this week!

With the wind whipping through we still managed to get the landscape fabric pinned down and Sean is able to get mulch into the edges. Look at that pathway! 😍 Soon to have archway trellis boxes on either end to enter covered in climbing flowers. It felt like it would never but.... It's happening. It's starting to take shape slowly. Thank you to everyone who came out today for the market. It means so much more than you know. The support has been tremendously touching to be a part of. We are excited and encouraged by all of your smiling faces 😊 Its been such a wonderful journey for Sean and I and we hope you hang in there with us as the market grows and we find our way. The forecast looks perfect for this Fridays market (June 14) so stop out and say "Hi!" ~ We would love to have you ☺️ A huge thank you to everyone who stopped out for last week's market, the first of many for the season! The support was wonderful and we can't wait to grow this space into something amazing for the community in the years to come. Thank you for supporting your friends and neighbors by showing up and shopping local. It meant so much and everyone was so kind. The day was really a joy! Vendor spaces are available and we really hope to see more makers and growers come to market. Floodwood wants to encourage and support you so don't be shy, reach out and let's get you set up 😃

You Know the saying "A day late and a dollar short." Whelp, we're 8 days late and 2 bags of mulch short for this side of the center flower path. 144 plants in so far.... 900 gabillionkajillion to go. Sweetest dreams, Floodwood.... I'm clocking out.

The bakes are going pretty smoothly today in my new oven (I'm so thankful) ... No pies from me today, I'm saving those for when the pie shop opens BUT I will have some other items that will be at market and in shop when the time comes. This is blueberry buckle (think coffee cake) coming fresh out and still needing it's drizzle. Next in will be lemon bars, pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, chocolate peanut butter cup cake 😍 and maybe more! Hope to see you at the market at 2 pm! A lot of great makers of all kinds will be there.... Come out and say hi 😃

I can't believe it's already here! Vendors pls get in touch with me (potential vendors, you're welcome to reach out too, it's not too late!) Id love to get a rough idea of who's coming. The gate will be open for set up at 1 pm and open to the public at 2 pm. Please remember, Floodwood is windy so bring weights for your tents so you don't blow away. We hope everyone stops by to say hello and show some support to all of the awesome creatives, makers and farmers bringing their goods to market. We hope that over time we can really grow this market into something special for the entire community 😊 See you tomorrow!

So excited! It's finally getting put in! The first flower beds with a beautiful grassy walkway. Baby steps BUT here's the grand vision: .... someday this entire 1.7 acres will have next to zero grass.., just pathways and flowers and sitting spots to enjoy a rest with some ice cream or a piece of pie.

POV: When Home Depot becomes the trap house you should stay out of at all costs 😜 This is what it looks like when you're addicted and can't control the urge to buy all the plants and he's supposed to be the voice of reason but is addicted to making you smile.... I so love this man 🥰

Thank you husband for cleaning up the grounds and starting our first big landscaping project 🥰 And the edging is looking fabulous 😍 Picture a grassy walking path from one walkway to the other and on either side nothing but flowers. It will take a few seasons to achieve the full vision but every journey worth taking starts with a single step or, in this case, a single shovel full.

My boys are getting pretty tired of painting lol but we're (and by "we're" I mean THEY'RE) getting so close! At least on three sides 🫢 We began the edging for the first MAJOR landscaping project... It's exciting but makes me so nervous! The shovel has been deployed, no turning back now 😉

Feeling so very blessed to have such wonderful people in my life! My boys are finishing up painting (they will be so happy when it's over) my husband and Mike are cleaning the grounds and getting the garbage cans scrubbed and ready for people to come next weekend for the first Floodwood Farmers/Makers Market and Jake and Nick are here figuring out my mess of a soon to be "kitchen" space 🥰 And look at that blue sky! Couldn't ask for a more beautiful day ☀️

Another 1,350 flower plugs came in today! We cannot wait to start planting out and come mid summer ..... It will be Floodwood in full bloom! See you tomorrow, sweetest dreams 🌛

I want to say a very special thank you to Rick and Matt from the City of Floodwood for helping me figure out the flag poles and hanging not just my flag for our shop, but more importantly, for flying old glory high! I cried a little bit, it's surreal. Thanks you two for showing me how and for not laughing. I am so thankful for all of the beautiful connections I've made here so far and cannot wait to meet each and every one of you ❤️

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and you are able to spend some time outside. I'm painting solo today trying to wrap the building up before the Floodwood Farmers/Makers Market starting on June 7. Being deathly afraid of heights means it's slowwwwww going for me. Maybe I'll switch gears and work on the brick some more instead 😉 no ladders needed.

This is the look your husband gives you when he's been to masonry school and you say "No, but I want it to look like it's 100 years old and the mortar is coming off.... "🤔 Hahahahahahahaha baby steps and layers, I promise it will make more sense in the end 😉
