Gustave “Gus” Baumann was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many, and he shared his artistic vision with all. As a multifaceted artist, he created masterful woodcut prints, paintings and marionettes, the performers in his holiday plays. He poured his artistry and acumen into his main medium of woodcut prints, and put just as much creativity, craft, and humor into his holiday cards. For five decades, he dutifully created and sent out cards to his family, friends, and fellow artists.

"Art from the Heart & Good Cheer for the New Year" an exhibit featuring holiday cards from the Baumann archives, is on display until February 18 in the Palace of the Governor's.
