Here's the final update on academic bowl yesterday-

They went 1-1 in their last 2 pool play games and finished as number 3 seed in their pool with a 5-2 record and faced Tennessee School for the Deaf in the first round of the playoffs, the winners of the first round games automatically advance to Nationals.

Our team pulled out a WONDERFUL win and punched their tickets to the nationals at Gallaudet University in April!!

We lost to MSSD in the semi-finals and lost to Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in the 3rd/4th place game by 1 POINT!

Regardless of how the last couple games went, we all are proud that the team worked hard to advance to the Nationals and now can focus on working and improving for the Nationals!

We also won the team sportsmanship award! Jameson was named to the All-Star team!

Our academic bowl team is 4-1 after today's pool play, their only loss came to Model Secondary School for the Deaf (MSSD), the defending National champion from last year. We have two more pool play matches tomorrow morning before that determines our playoff seeding. One of those remaining pool play matches is against Florida School for the Deaf and Blind who is 4-1 as well!
