Our Story

The North Shore Birding Festival on Lake Apopka in Central Florida will be held January 21-25, 2021. Birders visiting Florida or locals wanting to learn more from well-known, knowledgeable birding guides will love this festival, rolled out by Orange Audubon Society. Add to your life list while exploring the 20,000-acre Lake Apopka North Shore property of the St. Johns River Water Management District, a unique birding area.

The festival is based out of the McDonald Canal area in the western part of the Lake Apopka North Shore. We will search for as many as possible of the 370+ species documented, plus recently sighted rarities. Timing is perfect to see a multitude of overwintering and resident species.

On Friday and Saturday nights attend exciting keynote talks with meet and greets and dinners. Updated details and registration link will be at www.orangeaudubonfl.org/festival.
