A brewfest to beat the heat with all things adult beverage and cold including:

Hard slushies, seltzers on fresh fruit ice cubes, hard iced tea Italian ice, wine, ciders, and of course ICE COLD BEER with our friends from Autumn Arch Beer Project, Harvest Ridge Winery, Liquid Alchemy & ONE MORE to be announced soon!

We are closing off the backyard, loading it up with umbrellas, tents & misters (the big fans that spray water, but some gentlemen are likely to show up as well 😆), water guns for all who enter, and even a temporary tattoo station to create that backyard pool party vibe to end summer right. We will have 4 of our own slushies and curations JUST for event attendees and it wouldn’t be a brewfest without some tunes filling the air, so we will have tropical beach jams cranking all afternoon. This event is TAKING OVER the backyard, so all of our yard games will be for Swelterers only - co****le, bocce, dewey washers, you name it.

$35 a ticket - This event is from NOON to 3:30 PM on Saturday, August 24th at Crooked Hammock Brewery in Middletown, DE. We will have food available for order during the entire event. Event is 21+ ONLY as it is a pour fest.

Treat ‘em great! Parenthood is a treasure that seems to go too fast. Before you know it they have full time jobs and houses and don’t come over for supper as much as you’d like. That’s why we just bolstered our kids menu so you can give them something good while they’re still young! ❤️

The legend Ed Piotrowski (hopefully in one of his iconic zany suits) will be live hosting as participants get 10 minutes to eat as many hot dogs as they can 🍻 and to the victor goes the spoils:

IN TWO DAYS we are dropping our annual Hazy IPA Dadventure... The beer is more than just a Father's Day theme, it's named after the idea of how being a Dad is one of life's greatest adventure to our Founder Rich. He is noted as saying the day his first was born was the day he kicked into entrepreneurial overdrive and pushed him to eventually building a brewery. Here's a quick snippet from Rich himself on the meaning for him behind the beer and it's name:

My life's a Dadventure! The name "Crooked Hammock" is inspired by various stories from my life. Ditching my corporate job for the beach life with just a backpack and a hammock has been the most celebrated chapter. Yet, there's another layer to our name that goes hand-in-hand with our delicious hazy IPA, Dadventure and how being a dad has been my most important adventure.

I grew up with a really crooked nose. When I named my son Cameron—meaning "crooked nose" in Scottish—it symbolized embracing imperfections. Our imperfections are what make us unique. At the Hammock, we embody this ethos as "Perfectly Crooked." It's surreal, but my son Cameron is now 17 years old and he's my best friend. Together, we explore baseball stadiums, play golf, and tease each other incessantly. Cam has been part of the Crooked Hammock team since 2022—starting as a busser, then a host and food runner, and now venturing into the kitchen. Working alongside Cam at the Hammock has been an unexpected addition to my "Dadventure" I wouldn't trade for anything. Making memories with him is what it's all about.

Calling all Fathers!! 📞

For Father's Day this year we are hosting a Father's Only Giant Yard Pong tournament in the year. Teams of two dads compete in a classic bracket style tourney and the winning team receives 4 Good Times Glasses (our iconic glassware that looks like a party cup) and 4 tickets each to a MILB baseball game.

Giant Yard pong, sometimes called bucket ball, is an outdoor game played by two to eight people. Yard pong is essentially a giant version of beer pong. Instead of setting up solo cups on a ping pong table we got big ole buckets on the lawn. Sign ups are live NOW on our website:

Whether it’s at the beach, at the golf course, in our brewpub, or in your own backyard, today we all raise our glasses in honor of the fallen soldiers and their families who carry on their legacies. It’s hard to fathom the weight of that sacrifice and duty if you haven’t experienced it yourself. We are the land of the free because of the brave 🇺🇸

We got a surprise visitor today! Brewer Jacob found this little birdy outside the brewery this morning and he has been following him around! He has a numbered tag so we aren’t sure if he is a pet or escaped PetSmart or something? IF ANYONE IS MISSING a bird please call us at 302-601-7837

Also this bird is so chill, low key just wants to vibe. He is currently locked up for food safety reasons but if no one claims we will need animal services to come get him!

Brewed whole leaf Black and Oolong tea with added fruit and natural flavors. Potently packed with tea flavor and slightly sweetened with the added fruit juice, these teas are brewed in house at the Crooked Hammock. Basically, we took the Crooked Tea cocktail and canned it. Grab one and feel good about it!

We wish an extraordinarily Happy Birthday to our Head Chef Ted. Ted and our founder Rich worked together in a small bistro 15 years ago called Nage (see the second picture). Ted has been with Crooked Hammock since it's inception and has been a rock in our community representing us and making time and space for so many in our community. He has worked with chefs all over the east coast, volunteered time for the Delaware Restaurant Association and worked with culinary students throughout the state, makes time every year to make free snacks and host live demos for the Historic Lewes Farmers Market, and often goes above and beyond to support anyone he can in our company both in and out of the kitchen. We know you hate the limelight, so we will wrap this up and let you get back to stressing out the 76ers playoff run and playing 7 pickleball games a day.

Happy Birthday Ted, and we hope for like 112 more for ya. Cheers 🍻❤️
