Please help us find a loving home for this sweet girl!
Halo is a Treeing walker coonhound and she has a really beautiful temperament. She is soft and shy and sweet as cotton candy.
Her past life may have been a bit rough as she has her share of scars and old injuries, and maybe that's why she is so submissive and can be startled by loud noises or sudden and fast movement. But Halo is tender hearted and responds very well to gentle affection and will seek attention once she is assured of your kind intentions.
With other dogs she is immediately friendly and ready to romp, prancing about and going into play bow and showing her silly spirit. Most likely she would be great with cats as well. She does show a strong preference for women and can be extra shy with men.
Halo is making excellent grades in house training, walks well on leash, crates really well and is quiet. At mealtimes she will express her excitement with cute aroo-roo-roos. She loves to run about and would very much enjoy a fenced yard and other dogs to play with.
Halo tested positive for heartworms but has been treated. She will be available for sleepover the first week of April.
Let’s help keep this girl from going back to the shelter. If interested PLEASE CONTACT [email protected] and please share the heck out of this post.
We thank you and Halo thanks you 😊

Did you know this?
This is an X-ray of a dog’s bent front leg. See that tiny white spec? That’s a microchip! It has migrated down the leg....far from where it was inserted, between the dog’s shoulders. This is actually quite common.....
When lost pets are scanned, the entire body SHOULD be scanned to catch any that have migrated. But, as an owner, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT THEIR YEARLY VET EXAM, to ask for a quick scan to make sure that: (1) the chip is still working, (2) the location of the chip is good, and (3) that the chip info is correct.
Remember microchips save lives and reunite families with their pet.... just have it checked regularly!
For those who have been texting us asking for notification when there's a commission meeting, we might not be able to get it to you in time. Therefore I am suggesting you join the Facebook group" Build the shelter- Marion County Florida". And email these two persons and request to be notified when the commission is going to address the problem of the shelter... [email protected], or [email protected]
We need this shelter! If you don’t already know: the Roberts (WEC) family has donated a horse farm complete with an 82 stall barn to the county to be used as a shelter. At the last county commission meeting, some influential neighbors didn’t want a shelter in their back yard so it was tabled. This is our chance to voice our opinions.
Here are the email addresses to request to be notified of any upcoming commissioner meetings regarding this shelter. this way we can show up and send a message to build the shelter. Chuck varadin, director: Chuck. varidin@ marionfl.org, or Ken Weyrauch, senior planner: [email protected]
🤣🤣so true at my house!

Meet Zeus! He is a purebred German Shepherd and he is 7 months old.
His ears are coming up! The owner who had rescued him is now sick so sadly they need to find him a loving furever home 🙏🏻 There is a rehoming fee and you can contact owner for more information about Zeus.
The owner's name Russell and his number 352-421-0845.
Please respect the owner with serious inquiries only as it is hard enough having to find him a home then dealing with health issues himself.
