At Waukesha County professional growth drives our continued success. Creating a culture that fosters staff to learn from each other and their experiences is critical to building the next generation of leaders.

This morning I had the pleasure of congratulating our latest graduates in our Waukesha County Service Excellence Leadership Mentoring Program.

Today Waukesha County Board Chair Paul Decker announced he will not seek re-election this spring. I've worked with Paul since I was first elected County Executive in 2015. He has been a tremendous partner, and his leadership played a critical role in guiding the County through a pandemic, passing significant projects such as the Courthouse renovation plan and several unanimously supported budgets. Thank you Chair Decker!

With the weather picking up, it's a great time for a friendly reminder! If you see a plow, be sure to stay back at least 200 feet, slow down, and be aware of changing conditions. Help us keep our roads safe while we navigate another snow season! ❄️

Happy Thanksgiving!

22/11/2023

Like ribbon woven, we are stronger together
One ribbon representing the victims
One ribbon representing all that were affected
Looking through an open heart upon the City
A symbol of healing and strength
In tragedy our community unites

Dedicated to those who lost their lives, were injured, and all who were
touched by the tragedy at the Waukesha Christmas Parade.

Today I signed the 2024 Waukesha County Budget. This budget is in line with the priorities of our residents, our taxpayers who expect high-quality services and a high level of public safety. This could not have been achieved without the diligent work from our budget team and the County Board of Supervisors.

Let's give a round of applause to our Waukesha County IT Department! I'm happy to announce they're the winners of the "2023 Info-Tech CIO Award" for the "Business Vision Program."
The winners were selected from hundreds of eligible contenders and were determined based on their IT satisfaction and value scores, as assessed and quantified by their direct business stakeholders.

Much of our daily operations, like many organizations, are technology based. Their incredible staff keep us up and running so we can provide the essential services our community expects. Congrats IT!
