Registration is now open for the January 2025 Traveling Workshop F101 in Shalimar, FL, which will cover the American Kitchen Clock Movement. Led by Gary Combs, the 4-day course will focus on the 8-day, time-and-strike clock movement with open mainsprings, typically found in American Kitchen Clocks.
Trolley watches were pocket watches used by operators of electric trolley cars that ran between cities. These watches were required so cars could safely follow timetable instructions and avoid collisions. They were similar to railroad standard watches but had 17 (rather than 21) jewels and were adjusted to fewer positions.
