Technori was founded in 2010 by Seth Kravitz and a band of entrepreneurs on a mission to build the largest and most inclusive startup community in the world. Before there was 1871, Blue1647, mHUB, or that building full of unicorns known as Lightbank, there was Technori - a small community of techies focused on providing fellow founders with the resources, funding and connections required to successfully launch a company!
Since then, we’ve grown into one of Chicago’s leading startup brands with sold out events attended by more than 50,000 people from across the country, a podcast and video series viewed by millions, weekly articles in Chicago Tribune, and a hit show on WGN Radio!
Today, we’re proud to say that Technori alumni companies have raised north of a quarter-billion in venture capital, employ 3,500+ workers, graduated from top accelerators and achieved dozens of exits! But, there’s still a lot of work left to do… success continues to elude the vast majority of early stage companies - many of which fail because they lack the resources, expertise and access to capital necessary to get started.
