The Annual CSQ Festival (Cairo ShimmyQuake) held every first weekend of JUNE, is an international jam fest! The Festival includes everything that is popular and happening in the US, Europe, the Near and Mid-East, North Africa, and Asia: Bollywood, Flamenco, Balkan, Egyptian Pop, Tribal, Cabaret and Gypsy styles from around the globe are always featured.

The Annual CSQ Festival (Cairo ShimmyQuake) held every first weekend of June, is an international jam fest! The Festival includes everything that is popular and happening in the US, Europe, the Near and Mid-East, North Africa, and Asia: Bollywood, Flamenco, Balkan, Egyptian Pop, Tribal, Cabaret and Gypsy styles from around the globe are always featured.
‘BellyDance’ in the United States as well as internationally has exploded to include uncounted fusion styles, merging with Steampunk, Modern, Tribal, Funk, and Hip-Hop, creatively integrating with traditional and modern Middle Eastern dance moves. Prince, Shakira, Barbra Streisand, Beyonce, and many other stars have incorporated bellydance into their performances and videos, ever-widening the popularity of this compelling art form.
The CSQ Festival will encompass all of these facets of music and dance! There will be live bands, drum circles, and open dance along with over one hundred shows over the weekend. Vendors will display the latest in clothing, jewelry, costuming, art and music - and: Delicious food will be available! There’s something for absolutely everyone.
