Spring is here and no heat calls are disappearing. Starting in May we will be opening more time slots for new heat system installations, yearly cleanings and maintenance. Spring and Summer are the best time of year to get things in order.

Boudreau's Heating offers Oil Tank Installations, Replacements and Repairs.
Summer is a great time to repair outside oil tanks when they are not buried in snow and the ground isn’t frozen.
If your oil tank is leaking we can transfer your existing oil when replacing the tank.
You may need your oil line sleeved or replaced when damaged, kinked or corroded.
We can repair or replace your tank gauge if it is not reading correctly.
If your oil tank is sinking in the ground we can raise it up, dig out the dirt mud, put in crushed rock, concrete pad or block to prevent that happening.

Snow Day tip from the boss.

Check that your exhaust vents, stacks and pipes for, stoves, boilers or furnaces are always kept clear of blockages created by heavy snow and ice. Such blockages could cause your heating system to malfunction.

If you’re thinking of ways to reduce oil consumption and your hot water comes from your boiler, a heat pump water heater may be right for you!
Heat pump water heaters use electricity to move heat from one place to another instead of generating heat directly. Therefore, they can be two to three times more energy efficient than conventional electric resistance water heaters. To move the heat, heat pumps work like a refrigerator in reverse.

Furnace Quit?
Maybe it’s snow!
Every winter after a large snowfall, people consider new furnaces after theirs has quit.
But, before you do that, especially when it involves a newer furnace - are your intake vents clear of snow?
Snow sliding off roofs or wind driven into drifts can bury a furnace air intake pipe.
Furnaces need air for combustion and heat, a buried or blocked intake vent means little or no air is available.
A common symptom is your furnace continuously going into the start-up cycle, but never actually turning on.
So before making a panic phone call for furnace repair in the middle of the night, go outside and check that the air intakes and outlets for your furnace are clear of snow. The same problem can occur with gas water heaters.
