There are many methods of draining a property, but all of them fall into two categories: Underground or above ground.

Underground drainage usually uses some kind of drainage stone and perforated pipe. As the water level rises in the drainage stone, it reaches the level of the perforated pipe. Water soaks through the perforations and drains with the slope of the pipe away from your home or property.

Above ground drainage is usually the slope of the property or ditching. An example of this is removing part of a hill that sloped toward a building and making sure the ground slopes away from the house to a ditch that takes the water away from the building.

Not long ago, we had a job where we took down multiple Ash trees that had been infected with the Emerald Ash Borer. When we dropped the trees, they shattered! This is a situation we find regularly. After Ash trees die, they become very brittle and shatter into fragments. Our team thoroughly cleans up making sure not to leave debris in our customer’s yards.

The emerald ash borer has been devastating ash trees in NEPA for over 10 years now. This insect will invade your beautiful trees and destroy them. When an Ash Tree starts to die it will start pushing out lots of new growth near the base and you will also notice lots of unhealthy-looking branches overhead.
