Happy Veterans Day!
Today is a time to honor and recognize the service and sacrifice of U.S. military veterans. Originally known as Armistice Day, it marked the end of World War I on November 11, 1918.
On Veterans Day, communities and individuals come together to pay tribute through parades, ceremonies, and moments of silence. It’s also a day for veterans to reflect on their service, and for civilians to show appreciation through gestures, like supporting veteran-focused charities or simply thanking veterans for their dedication.
Thank you for your service and dedication!

Gladiator Challenge is a long-running MMA promotion founded in 1999 by fighter and promoter Tedd Williams. It focuses on providing a platform for up-and-coming fighters to gain experience and showcase their skills. While it’s not as high-profile as promotions like the UFC or Bellator, Gladiator Challenge is well-regarded for helping launch the careers of many fighters who eventually moved on to larger organizations.
The events typically feature a mix of amateur and professional bouts and are held in smaller venues, giving them an intimate, grassroots feel.

These qualities together—technical proficiency, physical and mental conditioning, and ambitious, adaptable attitudes—contribute significantly to a wrestler’s success and progression to elite levels.
Dan Severn’s suplexes are legendary in MMA and pro wrestling circles. Known for his raw power and wrestling technique, Severn used suplexes to dominate opponents by leveraging his Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling background. His technique was smooth yet devastating—he’d lift opponents clean off the ground and slam them down with precision, often leaving them disoriented. Unlike many fighters who rely on striking, Severn focused on grappling control, with suplexes becoming a signature move that highlighted his old-school wrestling style. His suplexes weren’t just showy; they were effective, showing that wrestling techniques could have a significant impact in MMA and making him one of the pioneers of wrestling in the sport.

Once again, I am asking that you come on board with a monthly donation to the ASU Wrestling Endowment. The goal is to raise enough money so that Arizona State Wrestling "NEVER" has to go out and fund raise ever again. I am calling this: "Get on board, and get one more!" By doing your monthly pledge of ($25-$100.......you can do more if you are able) is what we are looking for. Once you are on board, I would like you to reach out to one more person and get them on board.
Donating to ASU wrestling foundation can have a tremendous impact on the development of young athletes and the growth of the sport. These contributions often help fund essential resources like coaching, equipment, travel for competitions, and facility improvements, which are crucial for fostering a competitive and safe environment. Wrestling teaches discipline, perseverance, and teamwork, making it a valuable part of a student’s education.
Please use this link to donate to the ASU Wrestling Endowment: https://www.asufoundation.org/colleges-and-programs/athletics/sun-devil-wrestling-endowment-CA123250.html
Or......if you would like to call into the ASU Office and they can take in your information over the phone......then dial.....(480) 727-7700 (This is the main number to the ASU Sun Devil Club).
Thank You All!
