A common but lesser-known aspect of sewing is the impact of a bouncing table on your work. When a sewing table is too flexible, it can cause the needle and hook to momentarily fall out of sync while forming the stitch.

Hello, it’s Liz at Blue Willow again and I just wanted to let you know that I’m teaching a beginning quilting 201. Which is the second one of my beginning quilting classes that I teach this next month on Saturday morning 12:50 PM and it’s the 13th and the 20th. I have some spots available if you’d like to sign up it’s $60 for the class and it includes all of the fabric to make the item. The table topper below is the pattern that we will do. You will learn, half square triangles and binding. It is 24 x 24.

Then from one to 2:30 PM, Judy Bender will come in and do her presentation on fabric painting. Both are free to the customers. Please register, space limited! See you there!!

Bio: Bender Bits Applique
My name is Judy Bender, and I’m a retired middle school teacher who now enjoys training people of all ages in quilting techniques and how to use their Handi Quilter Pro-Stitcher software. I have over 20 years of experience sewing anything from furniture reupholstery, awnings, clothes, and quilts. My goal is to instill the love of learning new quilting techniques that open personal creativity and thinking ‘outside the box’ in those who are already in our quilting community or wanting to join us. The best way to explore the possibilities is to attend my up and coming trunk show!

Kathy Little:

Artist Statement: I've only been quilting seriously for the past four or five years. My early pieces were rigid designs like office layouts and parking lots (probably because I had been confined to an office for so many years). So I began shaking my head loose by studying noted improv quilters... and by trying to do things that I hadn't seen before. I hope the things you see in this trunk show are just a beginning for me.
