The Florida legislature is attempting to pass bills that will kill off any chance you have of ever receiving a fair shake if you have to make an insurance claim in Florida. They’re couching it as “tort reform” because they know the average citizen will not get up in arms about something they don’t understand. HB 837/SB 236 are disastrous for the average Floridian and the only group they help is insurance companies. It will limit what insurance companies have to pay without forcing them to lower premiums. the average consumer will be getting screwed from both ends. Call your state representatives and tell them to vote no on tort reform.
