The parents and family of anyone struggling with substance use play a critical and valuable role in the journey to and through recovery. However, the importance of what parents and family members can do to support their struggling loved ones is often minimized or framed as a contributing factor to their loved one’s ongoing problem. The Partnership to End Addiction offers a series of videos to support families with the chaos of substance use disorders. The year-long video series is available at: Messages of Hope & Resources for Families Struggling with Addiction - Partnership to End Addiction (drugfree.org). See the Video #13 “Families are the solution, not the problem.”
