Resident Testimonial:
“I have only the best to say about everyone here. I honestly was hesitant to come in for rehabilitation. I have had major surgeries and went home afterwards, but this has been very good for me. The staff at Berea Healthcare and Rehabilitation has changed how I feel about nursing homes.”
Our residents really enjoy karaoke time. Music can be powerful! Studies conducted by the Alzheimer’s Association show that music may decrease agitation and behavioral issues which are common in the middle stages of Alzheimer’s. Even in the late stage of the disease a person may be able to tap a beat or sing lyrics to a song from childhood. Even after communication has become difficult music can provide a way to connect.
We try to do karaoke everyday for this reason.
We would love our families to join in anytime.
