Thanks to our dedicated Dispatchers and responders, Chaverim was able to to assist over 4,000 callers in 2023!!

Dulles Airport – Oct. 10, 2023 - Chaverim of Baltimore and Chaverim of Greater Washington were alerted about a plane arriving at Dulles Airport carrying approximately 20 families. These families had embarked on a two-day journey from Israel with a layover in Turkey. With no food available to them for almost two days due to the airlines' inability to provide kosher meals on such short notice, they were exhausted and hungry. Though someone had chartered a bus to transport them to Brooklyn, they required assistance with food, childcare, loading their belongings, and other necessities. Responding promptly, Chaverim of Baltimore and Chaverim of Greater Washington provided them with pizza from Ben Yehuda Pizza, as well as drinks and snacks, ensuring their immediate needs were met during this challenging time.
