Kevin Olouch-wuod matha
CAF C Coach |Ex Footballer |Football Coach @Migori Youth Fc
Appreciation post from Keke Roy
SPECIAL RECOGNITION: He is the MOST celebrated and decorated Kisumu player. Kevin Oluoch started his football career at the Shaurimoyo Primary school alongside Allan Wanga and Eric Apul playing for FIFA Kingdom Youngsters. He also played for the Urusi Youngsters, before joining Kakamega High School where he played with Kenyan International Denis Oliech in the same year. In 2002, Kevin changed school and joined Thur Gem Secondary, the then Nyanza Province Powerhouse, where he helped the school to clinch the National games in 2004. While still at school, Kevin together with Mathare’s Noah Abich were scouted to play for Nzoia Sugar FC in the Premier league. The team was disbanded and Kevin joined Sony Sugar, where he was part of the Sony’s invincible team that won the league in 2006 alongside Jockins Atudo, David Otieno, Eric Apul, Victor Ali and Noah Abich. He has won THREE KPL titles with Sony Sugar in 2006, Sofapaka in 2009 and Gor Mahia in 2014. He also represented Kenya in youthful teams of U17 and U23 between 2004 and 2006. The utility player has featured for Nzoia FC, Sony Sugar FC, Western Stima FC, Sofapaka FC, Muhoroni Youth and Gor Mahia FC. He is currently based at the Sony Sugar FC for the 2016 season. A disciplined and hardworking player, Kevo is a role model in Kisumu City and likes mentoring young players and teams by donating his soccer boots, uniforms and does career counseling. The young lad has managed to be evergreen in his career due to discipline, dedication and simple lifestyle. May the upcoming and current players emulate Kevo and have a successful career.
