May 11th 2024 the first Yellow Jacket Queens of the year. This is telling me the ground has thawed enough for the Queens to emerge from their overwintering dens which are usually in the dirt and buried or inside walls of structures. Whereas the European paper wasp has been out and active since mid-March

It's the holiday season, and though it gets cold here in Wyoming. Places like Florida, California, Texas, and other area of the world are nice and warm. Many today in our ever-changing retail buy on-line. We receive packages from all over the world, and even our fun-loving relatives send us packages filled with all sorts of goodies. Unfortunately, along with those packages may come un-invited pest to make your life less enjoyable in the coming year. These pests have been around longer than man has been on this planet, and have adapted to various conditions. Simply because your package sat on your door step for a few hours in sub-zero temperatures doesn't mean these pests have been eliminated or even effected. I urge all to inspect and wash all new clothing even clothing still in the wrappers. To wash and inspect any donated clothing or received donated clothing. inspect all furniture new and used, even cardboard boxes may contain eggs, nymphs, and/or adults.

Very happy to announce, both kitties (rescues)(squeak-male, and squawk-female) have a furever home. The client needed some rodent control(natural)and was very happy with their new additions.
