Today is the Free Dump Day!

Neighborhood Clean-Up Day is TODAY, May 4 from 7AM-2PM at its new location, the Waste Management Transfer Station at 2600 N Lake Valley Road. Here's everything you need to know:

- No commercial dumping
- PV residents or PV water bill recipients only
- Voucher required to dump (can be found in April Utility newsletter)
- One trip per household
- Debris cannot extend a trailer 28ft in length
- Accepted Items – Stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators*, kitchen appliances, air conditioners, yard waste, tree trimmings, mattresses, furniture, and tires (limit 10)*
- Prohibited Items – Municipal solid waste, household wet trash, household recyclables, propane tanks, gas or diesel power equipment, liquids, hazardous items, medical waste, ammunition, commercial dumping

* For those planning on bringing appliances and/or tires, please organize your haul so that the refrigerators or tires are the first thing you can unload at the dump site. These items will need to be dumped in a separate pile before the rest of the discarded items.

Prescott Valley Ranks Third Safest City in Arizona

In an October 2023 article from PropertyClub, Prescott Valley ranked third on the list of the 10 safest cities in Arizona. Prescott Valley is the only city in Yavapai County to make this distinguished list.

With the Town’s population coming in at just under 47,000 residents, Prescott Valley is 65 percent safer than the average in Arizona, with a crime rate of 957 incidents for 100,000 people.

Many factors contribute to Prescott Valley receiving this designation. The community has a proactive police department that believes in community-based policing, from the sworn personnel who patrol the streets to the professional staff who are always looking for programs to engage and educate members of the community. PVPD partners with citizens to tackle issues together. It is this collaborative effort that has made Prescott Valley an amazing, and safe, place to live, work, and play.
