With improved highways and owning a car was no more a luxury; riders begin using cars as a primary means of travel. So many depo

Here is a set of images I took many years ago when I was starting out my collection. This building has quite the past. Today the station is once again serving passengers from NYC, Washington, Charlotte, Atlanta to New Orleans and many places along the way. Beautifully restored this station represents the majesty that train travel had at the turn of the 19th Century.

Today I was in South Carolina for an assignment and thought I'd re-shoot a few of the depots I had already visited before and shoot them again using the drone.

Last week Denise and I were in Pendleton SC and I was able to capture the railroad depot there. This week we were in Charleston, where I was able to get the depot in Camron SC on the way down and the Depot in the former town of Batesburg SC, now Batesburg-Leesville.

Pendleton's depot is used for community events, Batesburg is also a community building, however, it was not clear what is happening in Cameron. I hope the citizens in Cameron have a plan to repurpose this beautiful building. Cameron is a small town no too far from Orangeburg SC. Most of their downtown was closed.
